Someome I used to raid with back in Wrath went on and on one night about how awesome it would be if our characters grew old and died and then we play their heir or apprentice or whatever.

“Hey guys, let’s combine all the outdoor zones into one mega zone where people from a million different servers are running around with each other. We’re not going to let them trade or guild with each other because that would make this entire idea make sense. Also, let’s keep super rare Hunter pets on a long spawn timer and old resources one tap. Oh and lets also shard the crap out of it so people and NPCs flicker in and out of existence. I knew someone who wanted PvP crafting. Like, not craftable PvP items, but for crafting itself to be a PvP activity, like you’d go to a bg that had a special anvil or whatever and resources and gank other crafters in a free-for-all in order to make items.
