Worst PrePatch Ever - Refunded

They simply can’t be serious with this quality. Like, 7 quests, three world quests, one broken world quest, and waiting for bosses for 10 minutes. THIS is your prepatch?

This, on top of the HORRENDOUS class changes, and addon removals, is just the last straw.

Pointless housing. You can’t even que and be returned to your house. Literally what is the point besides decorating?

I know, I know, who cares. But I’m a player who’s been here since classic, played (and enjoyed) every expansion and prepatch. I even enjoyed WoD! This will be the first expansion I miss, and the state of the game is so bad I have refunded Midnight.

Very sad day :frowning:

You refunded a prepatch? Neat trick.

Yes very sad indeed…anyway

According to wowhead, there are more WQs that cycle in.

I can’t even remember the last few pre–patches. I won’t remember this one either or even think about it ever again as soon as Feb 27th hits.

Just funny to hear people say that they’ve been here since classic through all the shoddy times along the way and this nothingburger event is where they draw the line.

A dozen bad changes and a bad prepatch foreshadows a bad expansion.

They do NOT care, they have replaced content gamers with mine craft kids collecting mounts and furniture. PvP is a complete joke, and the lag has made it completely unplayable.

That IS the point. You don’t have to engage with it if it’s not your thing, just like people didn’t have to farm Island Expeditions in BfA or farm Anima for cosmetics in Shadowlands or whatever. Engage with what you enjoy.

So this is obviously what you’re actually mad about.

And fair enough. This one saw some major changes, and most of it is removing customization (via addons) and simplifying specs (which obviously not everyone wants).

If you can adapt to these changes, you’ll probably enjoy the actual expansion just fine.
If these changes mean you no longer enjoy playing, I mean, bye I guess. We knew this was coming ages ago.

The prepatch is admittedly one of the worst they’ve ever done. Maybe MoP was worse, but that’s really it IMO. That said, prepatch events are more or less optional alt & leveling catchup rather than anything worth taking seriously. Do not judge an expansion based on its prepatch event.

Prepatch itself, meaning the major system and class changes? Yeah sure.
But the event? God no.

It’s fine for what it is at this point, with the updates.

What I do like about it is its a ‘one and done’ event on every alt. Go and do your dumb twilight cultists quests, mine some elementium, do some bosses, grab some insignias and runed/carved crests, buy a couple chairs, leave.

I like that it’s not too involved.

Wut? There’s literally a button to port you to your house.

I’ve been here since Vanilla. I don’t play Minecraft. I’m nearly 50. I like seasonal content and I like chilling out with transmog and housing.

Not sure I understand the comment here.

Damn, they’re out there replacing us?!?

They thought everyone would be doing Housing…I guess not.

You can only decorate the inside of an empty closet for so long.

I feel like this is once again a major overreaction based on what we have seen. Yes the prepatch shipped in an absolutely abysmal state and they SHOULD be called out for it. That said the expansion does not have the mass red flags that Shadowlands and BFA to a lesser extent had. I do think they need to maybe slow down a bit and give their teams an extra month per patch to tie up bugs and QA issues. Obviously you do you but if you survived and played through Shadowlands I dont really see how this can be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.

you’ll be back
