You don’t have your conduits? I made a character Saturday and already have my Bis - if you’re avoiding content where it drops that’s kind of on you.

That actually is more casual than other mmos out at the time. I don’t know if that makes it the MOST casual friendly mmo in 2004 but definitely more casual than what I was playing back then.

How high should WQ give? Also name a quest you do that you just don’t mark as tedious.

Why do you need 50k anima? It’s just cosmetic stuff you earn slowly over the 2 years, and how do you say there is nothing to do after saying you have stuff to do?

Your opinion, all world bosses are boring if you ask me. They also are no different from BFA, one a week.

Who can forget about the 1 quest Alliance got in Legion that Horde didn’t, or in BC/Wrath it was all the same quests but different hubs.

Rehash of what, what was Revendreth rehashed from?

This is a troll post, right? Like legendaries are useless? I just bought a full set of cloth gear that was crafted last night. I’ve made hundreds of thousands with BS.

What rewards you for losing? Do raid bosses drop loot when you wipe?

Isn’t hard to follow, and it’s your opinion, alright.

Back and forth over and over? I pop in my hall once a day just to dump anima and command table. Are you checking the vendors like it’s your fridge?

Some conduits are trash, but like everything else in your post it’s just a lame attempt for up votes.

What does gear have to do with the systems you hate so much? In fact, the covenant system gives you practically normal raid gear.

Also you only play for gear? Literally no other reason?

Its the central part of the game.

To get gear to get stronger to do more content.

Except it comes in a trickle when it use to come in a steady flow.

The only really awful one to traverse is Revendreth. Flying will be in the game eventually, however, so comparing it to the likes of WoD, Legion, and BfA now simply because of this point as we went far longer without flight (and WoD had no flight whistle) is pretty weak.

Saber:

World Quests are so tedious, and rarely give better than 168 items.

As opposed to dailies, which gave nothing but rep and gold, and every expansion prior to WQs didn’t even give armor. In fact, the only source of armor was raiding or PvP for the longest times as dungeons became obsolete.

Also I’ve been getting some 184s from WQs.

I need about 50,000 anima, but it takes forever just to earn a few hundred.

For cosmetic stuff, yes. It’s a grind likely meant to last the entire expansion. Slow your roll there, friend.

I ran out of things to do so quickly… not going to pay $15 a month for a dribble of weekly content.

Do you…not raid, PvP, or M+? What world content did you do in the past if you don’t do any of the big end game content? Because that character in particular hasn’t even done LFR.

Past expansions didn’t even have story. Sure, it’s honestly annoying that it’s time gated as it is, but there’s more content through the Covenant system than previous expansions. So I’m surprised you can compare this to any other one and claim you ran out of stuff to do, especially when it doesn’t look like you’ve really played.

Saber:

I loved all the world bosses in BfA… these are horrible! No loot at all, and only one per week.

World bosses have always been one attempt a week for loot, all the way back to WoD. And more world bosses were added with patches, like Oondasta, the rotational one on the Broken Shore, etc.

Saber:

There has always been separate content for Alliance and Horde, which is why I have 2 characters. But now we have to repeat most things twice, and only covenants offer some variety, but it’s pretty weak.

??? We had separate in BfA; Legion was virtually copy paste, MoP was copy paste outside of Jade Forest and some in Krasarang, Cata was copy paste outside of one zone. We’ve had copy paste since Cata with mostly neutral zones.

Also, you have Covenant stories, which are mostly unique.

Also also, Threads of Fate give you the option to skip the story. It just needs some fixing with the percentages, but it gives a non-linear leveling path.

Saber:

Only 4 small zones, plus the Maw. I mean, just look at Kalimdor or Eastern Kingdoms! There used to be so many great zones, but these are just a rehash.

Uh…right, but remember Vanilla was in production for a LONG time. BfA had six zones, though the islands themselves weren’t very large. WoD had five zones, Legion had four zones plus Suramar (which is comparable to the Maw).

Complain how you like but don’t compare expansions to the base game.

Saber:

Crafting is totally useless. I do tailoring… but can not even make one single item that is useful.

Crafting is more useful than in the past with legendary crafting, and Crafter’s Marks thst can upgrade the item level. The only one that feels useless right now is Inscription, really.

Saber:

Torghast could be fun, but just does not offer any rewards for the many hours you can spend there, just to fail on the final boss.

Fair, people have their different tastes.

Saber:

The lore is really boring, and just does not make sense.

It makes sense in the context of the story, but how we experience it is definitely not amazing.

Saber:

Covenant halls are too big. So tired of walking back and forth, over and over again.

Uhhh, interesting complaint. I love the scale of all of them, though I wish we got movement speeds inside.

Saber:

Conduits are horrible. After 2 months, I don’t have anything cool or useful.

They’re honestly so inconsequential they may as well not even exist. But they’re easy enough to farm up.

Saber:

Such a shame to see a once great game reduced to tedium.

It has been tedious since day one. Vanilla, and Classic showed this, was the definition of tedium. The game has always been tedious and a long grind for most of the time you play it.

I respect your opinions, of course. But I definitely do not agree with them.

Edit: I’m continued to be amused by those comparing complete expansions to 9.0. The amount of hate BfA for due to island expeditions and Warfronts being the only content to do outside of raiding, M+, and PvP, and the awful Azerite grind of re-unlocking your Azerite gear because higher ilvls locked the slots, were reviled.

Legion made it difficult to swap specs because you put all your Artifact Power into your main, and the legendary system was horrifically bad. People were quitting because their raids removed them for getting a utility legendary.

WoD was the most raid or die the game had been, with not even WQs or dailies outside of the one daily a day that you got. You could CM but you didn’t get gear from it, so it was just for cosmetics.

If you’re going to compare expansions, compare the X.0s.

So much this. BFA was pretty much reviled by everyone upon release. Everyone complained about titanforging, Warfronts, Islands, gear, the zones, no flying, no pvp vendors, no tier sets etc etc. By contrast, the shadowlands hate seems to come from a much smaller segment of the casual crowd who want their gear handed to them on a silver platter. There’s just no comparison.

If for you gear is the focus, why don’t you do Mythic raids and spam M+15 ? That’s were gear is. It drops by hundreds items a day.

Oh you would expect gear upgrade for every little thing you do ? Done WQ ? bim ilvl 250 item.
