Worst expansion yet?

I think so. Having played since the original WoW Beta, I’ve enjoyed all the expansions until now. Here are just a few reasons:

  1. No flying or whistle. So annoying to run through these awful zones.
  2. World Quests are so tedious, and rarely give better than 168 items.
  3. I need about 50,000 anima, but it takes forever just to earn a few hundred.
  4. I ran out of things to do so quickly… not going to pay $15 a month for a dribble of weekly content.
  5. I loved all the world bosses in BfA… these are horrible! No loot at all, and only one per week.
  6. There has always been separate content for Alliance and Horde, which is why I have 2 characters. But now we have to repeat most things twice, and only covenants offer some variety, but it’s pretty weak.
  7. Only 4 small zones, plus the Maw. I mean, just look at Kalimdor or Eastern Kingdoms! There used to be so many great zones, but these are just a rehash.
  8. Crafting is totally useless. I do tailoring… but can not even make one single item that is useful.
  9. Torghast could be fun, but just does not offer any rewards for the many hours you can spend there, just to fail on the final boss.
  10. The lore is really boring, and just does not make sense.
  11. Covenant halls are too big. So tired of walking back and forth, over and over again.
  12. Conduits are horrible. After 2 months, I don’t have anything cool or useful.

Such a shame to see a once great game reduced to tedium.

Every expansion is the “worst expansion yet” until flight happens.

That said, I don’t care for this expansion much.

Not even remotely close.

If you think that this expansion is somehow worse than BFA or WoD at launch I honestly believe you didn’t play BFA or WoD, or at least weren’t there for the first patches of each expansion.

Hell, even Legion’s first patch was pretty damn bad.

Really? Vanilla was a buggy nightmare of exploits. SL is no where near the dumpster fire of that.

wow, that’s the truth. Well said.

I like this one so far, but the long grinds are pretty unattractive. They would do well to put in the whistle for a while.

Pretty sure BfA at release only had one world boss per week. They usually add in more with each major patch that drops gear for that patch.

Did you not play BfA? Shadowlands at least puts a purpose behind doing world quests and such, all BfA was at launch was world quests. This is so much better.

Basically every world quest I get is above heroic ilvl gear. Not sure where you are on Renown, but you should know this.

The expansion is good. It’s nice being able to choose what legendary you want to make, and also that world quests are completely optional. Those were two of my major problems from the last 2 expansions.

After looking at your armory you have done so much of the content you are probably the best person to give a review of shadowlands first patch. /s
