Shrug. Battle For Azeroth was the first expansion I had zero interest in playing, and Shadowlands made quit playing WoW entirely.
expansion -TBC
Version of WoW - vanilla ( only just though -TBC was horrible )
Shadowlands and WOD.
However there was some things I liked about them
In Shadowlands, I loved Torghast and itās infinite dungeons.
In WOD it was Ashran Battleground and still is a fun Epic BG to play.
I enjoyed them all, but I did wind up quitting WoW, I thought for good, during WoD, so I guess I have to go with WoD.
Fun fact: Hello Kitty Island Adventure is a real game now, lol. And itās still better than WOD.
Still sticking with WoD for the worst.
Cata straight up killed servers, Wod had decent leveling but little content. SL had content but sucked.
BFA, only expansion I quit halfway through the first raid, SL even made it to the second
Legit the first iteration of Azerite gear was so bad. Nothing better than having to grind azerite to wear a piece to get an upgrade and have to grind again to be able to actually wear it
One thing people tend to forget about BFA is how insanely alt-unfriendly it was. Someone made a list once about what you needed to do if you wanted to play an alt. It was like weeks of gearing and quests.
The list of things you needed to complete to play an alt at end-game was insane in BFA.
Before they added the corruption vendor and account-wide essences, it was weeks-long grind to get an alt ready to play even a +10.
Shadow lands for me as well as most couldnāt handle that level of grind that was needed even tho its my favorite thematically Iām really sad I didnāt play in prime and now Iām trying to back track and go for stuff Iām hoping max gear TWW Iāll be able to solo mythic level raids from SL
It is such an easy answer for me.
SL.
Usually a year or two after an expansion you can start to appreciate a couple things.
For example with WoD I appreciated the quality of the raids and class design.
With BFA I could appreciate the world content, Islands and Corruptions (albeit awful for alts, they were very memorable and impactful)
With SL there is literally no redeeming feature even years later. I hated it then. I continue to hate it now. I never ever want to go back. If they were to do a SL Remix ever I would hard pass.
SL gets the crown by a mile.
BFA has a special place of hate for me as I feel it ended World PvP (Iām on Emerald Dream) and was the deathblow for the competitive Alliance player base for a variety of reasons⦠but I have to concede it just wasnāt even close to as aggressively poor as SL was.
Shadowlands for me and I have been here since the start. There are a couple of runners up though that are very close. BfA and Wrath ring a bell. Yes I hate Wrath more than WoD.
I feel that.
1st place is Shadowlands.
2nd place WoD.
3rd place Cata.
1st, 2nd and 3rd place here it is.
Cata, I never felt hyped for the content. I hate how it forever changed the classic zones. I hated how the philosophy of healing was changed. I stopped healing on my druid near the middle of that expansion. Boomkin exclusively since then.
