Worst Elven Characters within Warcraft Lore

The sad part is that the Night Warrior scenario is perhaps the best written Tyrande in WoW.

It’s like, a bad episode of a TV show, but one character’s best development.

Shame that we didn’t accomplish much in that scenario.

Well i take that back, we did kill a Val’kyr, but that’s about it. …and lost Sira… Yet the game treats this like it’s some sort of victory moment.

We lost one of the best night elves they have and didn’t kill Nathanos cause Tyrande didn’t just stealth attack him but at least we got one of Slyvana’s Val’kyr… and i guess got …okay looking customization option that i wish it’s a face option and not a skin option and much rather take the undead “nathano’ed” night elf look.

Quite so really, It’s framed like a victory, and it is one, it is the NE’s deciding to fight for Darkshore, but it terms of concrete victory is very little. It’s a “moral victory” for all that’s worth.

Nathanos is alive only because of his plot armor. Like, the fact that he survived Darkshore when he would have been perfect as an emotional loss for Sylvanas guarantees he has a big role to play in the future.

I really can’t blame Tyrande for not killing him when the only reason he’s alive is because the plot dictates so. And yeah, the fact that Tyrande fought and kill basically the WoW version of an Angel is pretty neat so good on her, but honestly since that was the most tangible win she got, they REALLY should have played it up.

It would have only taken Nathanos horror to see one of his queen’s Valkyr cut down and the gravity of it, to frame it as dire -cause it is, it makes Sylvanas clock be dang near 12- and to have consequences on Nathanos and Sylvanas relationship. A would hard to heal.

It would have made it a much more important victory narratively. Specially if we’d get Tyrande taunting him.

Honestly, the least the writer would’ve done is at least have Tyrande try to sneak attack him and it wounded him, but didn’t kill him, and he sent one of his Val’kyr atfer her. And have what you said in there…

And we could have something in this Scenario, yea it wouldn’t change much, but at least it’s more likely to look like a victory.

Needless to say, i didn’t like the what we got in that scenario and only done it for the reward which… was so underwhelming that i’m wondering why i bothered in hindsight.

To quote myself in the previous post…

I was going to type out a scathing rebuke because you put Sylvanas, Liadrin and Rommath(Seriously?!, he’s spicy!) on your list but you also listed Tyranduh as no.1 and so eloquently highlighted all the reasons that make her a horrible character while hoping Sylvanas or Azshara kill her that I just can’t be bothered.

Well played, my good chum. Well played.
