Just for curiousity. Which class/spec is the best and which one is the worst for 1v1 pvp scenario?
Necrolord Draenei BM hunter with every defense ability / trinket / pvp talent / pet selection you can stack.
is up there
Best: Ret Paladin
Worst: Arcane mage
This is an interesting thread.
My personal take is that Warlocks are the best and warriors are the worst (for 1v1). But that doesn’t make them great or terrible for PVP in general.
Best: I would say the stealth kitty that transforms into a chicken to fire a solar cannon from space .
Worst : everyone else.
Not even close
Maybe it is true but prob at the same level as arcane mage is
For 1v1 (which is the claim), what do you offer as a counterclaim?
As bad as a warrior for 1v1s? Oh… I really don’t think so!!! Mages, regardless of spec are one of (of not the) best classes for 1v1s.
pretty much
cyclone and heal up, rinse repeat
Feral is probably the strongest overall at the moment, not really sure what the weakest would be.
this is my top 5
Best:
- Ret paladin
- Feral druid
- Sub rogue
- Shadow priest
- Fire mage S
Worst:
- Arcane Mage
- Fury warrior
- MM hunter
- Enh shaman
- Havoc DH
Cool! Sounds like a reasonable fantasy to have.
You… want the honest truth?
MEGAMAN.
MEGAMAN 9.
Boomkin is crazy good in 1v1. I hate playing against it. (I’m boomkin in tbc classic but I suck at Druid)
Blood DK, man.
- Feral
- Ret
- Sub
- Survival
- Fire
Depends who you are fighting as a Ret, fight a good mage and you can barely touch them 1v1. Rogues can 1v1 you too without huge issues if they are not bad and are geared. The other melee hybrids and Hunters should be good too.
Whatever the best Rogue spec is wins like always. They can kill just about anything in a 1v1 setting within their first go, or a reset that few specs can stop and on the next go while they lose all of their defense skills.
Worst spec… No clue atm, I would think MM hunter as they lack self healing, and unlike BM need to sit still for Aimed shot.
Paladin may be the most useful given then can go immune and have high burst, but it also depends who you are playing against. A range class with burst, like a NF balance druid can bait them into using their shield and than F them up, just play smart and stay at range.
Hell my feral druids burst is even higher again, but being melee I need to be careful who I use it against, but if I get a full convoke off than pretty much anyone is dead.
But for ease of play, a BM hunter wins. You can stay range, perma slow almost anyone and your pets are going to do a ton of damage for you.
Best is either rogue or feral. Having lots of burst and stuns, and being stealth so you can pick and choose when you engage will always be king of 1v1.
Worst is probably warrior. A warrior alone, with no healer behind them, is in reality just a walking corpse who hasn’t realized they’re dead yet.
Ret Paladins are annoying. You have to kill them 200 times before they die.
Holy Paladin vs Holy Paladin.
