Can someone please patiently explain to me how this works? I tried to read this thread on Reddit and I ended up confused as ever. It said I need to join a raid, then drop the raid after the event is started. That I must use 5 radiant echos.
My questions are
-so I joined a raid once
-how do I consume 5 Radiant Echoes? do I click on these?
-How do I turn luminous like the rest of the other players? I felt like I missed a step. After the event, I saw people receiving 4x more keys than I had.

It doesn’t require a raid at all, my advice is to not go to reddit for info, the userbase is largely ignorant of most things and unintelligent to begin with.
Think of it like a bouncy house with an entrance fee. The fun inside is constantly going on. There are mobs everywhere and mini “events” and big boss spawns. You pay an entrance fee at the door, which is the floating ball of light at the location marked on the map. Once you pay you get put “inside” and can see and interact with all the mobs and get credit for when they’re killed. The rewards you get are based on how much you paid to get in and how many points you get for doing things inside, which is mostly killing stuff, but sometimes there’s items to pick up. After 5 minutes, your time is up and you get thrown out, but the party is still going on inside. You can go in a group, but everyone’s timer is independent based on when they paid their entrance fee. If you’re not inside, you can still see ghosts of your party running around but you can’t see what they’re fighting, everyone has to pay to get in themselves. If you go in solo, you can see and interact with all the other people that are inside, but you won’t get credit for stuff they kill unless you tag it, it follows the same loot rules as the rest of the game outside.
As for the reward disparity you mentioned, I’ve seen that happen to others, I think it’s a bug. They paid 5 to get in but still only got the rewards as if they paid 1.

Go to the area of echoes, click the thingy to start it you can use a single or 5.
There is a 3rd option but never got it to work or cared to find out
Defeat mobs get a bit of rewards and shards to make towards a coffer key

I’m starting to think this bug is actually tied to doing this in a raid or triggering hyperspawns or something. I have never done them with more than 2 people total and I have never encountered the bug, only seen people talking about it on the forums.
it is a total waste of time, that is what it is.

Mostly, at least for their own sake, but if you’re doing B.Delves, you’ll wind up with a bunch of echos that have no other use, so you may as well occasionally spend them on Memories for fragments so you have extra keys for more B.Delves.

It’s a “known issue” according to the GM I talked to. If you died or logged off or some other way to mess up the flag before finishing the very first world soul quest on the beach you never get the achievement. It’s this achievement that lets you turn in multiple during the events. I don’t see the expanded UI like you.
I was told by an actual GM not just the AI that there is nothing they could do and that hopefully it gets patched or they do some some sort of hot fix, after waiting several days to get the ticket resolved.
It’s been over a month and I’ve seen nothing done and still can’t complete the achievement. Some suggested leveling a new character and doing the quest on that one to trigger the achievement but I don’t need any more alts atm.
So unless something changes or you create a fresh alt that hasn’t done it yet TOUGH LUCK you don’t get to access that gameplay loop.
I just stopped doing delves altogether and was doing zekvir for vault then they nerfed it so now I do none.
I like the bouncy house analogy, but am sad there is no bouncy house inside for realz.
Find a raid, afk while they do all the work, collect stones and keys
I’ve been farming these for the “Echochaser” title eventually. So, I’ll explain my thought process behind them and maybe that’ll make their purpose a bit easier to understand. For starters, you can 100% solo them on your own.
Like Delves, it seems they have a daily reset. There are 2 active Azeroth Memory Events indicated on your map in one of the 4 zones. To activate them you need the “Radiant Echo” currency, which seems to be most easily accumulated through Delves. To unlock the “max difficulty” for these events, you need to complete every memory event at least once first. Doing the max difficulty will consume 5 of your Radiant Echo currency but doubles the rewards. Basically, these seem like a great way to get quick “Coffer Key Shards” which turn into the “Restored Coffer Keys” which allow you to unlock the chests at the end of Bountiful Delves.
So imo, they were made with the intention of being side world content primarily paired with Delves. Basically, a quick 5 minute in and out event to accumulate Coffer Key Shards to acquire more Restored Coffer Keys. Of course, like with everything, there are some neat achievements attached to them too like the “Echochaser” title.
you take them all out of your bank and look for the big heart of Azeroth symbol in whichever zone the world soul memory happens to be up. Then you fly to that symbol and click on it and it will ask you how many you want to use. Then you have five minutes to kill as much crap as possible and come out of there with a ton of currency and coffer key shards.
i’ve just dont them for the achievements and thats it. just go in afk a couple of mins, tab back in to kill mobs it forces on you, then tab back out.
This is why a lot of people are short on coffer keys and valorstones, because they’re not using the memories that reward obscene amounts of stones and a key every ~4 echos.
So how do you effectively do these as a healer?
You turn on your dps spec or do it in a group. The number of kills don’t matter that much, just kill the rares and you’re good.
Join one of the groups on the Finder.
Need to do each world soul for the achievement to unlock the 3rd option. I assume its harder mobs for more key fragments.
I laughed too hard at this but I agree.
