Why was this item nerfed to require Draenor Engineering instead of just Engineering? Was this an item that really warranted dev time to change? I guess fun was detected? How dare a low level toon have a little fun while selling stuff on the AH.

If they want more people spamming WoD (by farming instead of AH buying sprees) they could, you know, just sell us flying. Its not even enjoyable going there to one shot the place for pathfinder really.
Don’t worry once they realize pathfinder is free they’ll probably slap a money sink in one of the pathfinder requirements.
I’m sure they’ll come back and say they always meant to make it require Draenor engineering, and are just finally correcting a mistake.

Genuinely curious, are there any items that only require “engineering” or “general profession” to use?
My guess is that it wasn’t nerfed intentionally…as in they didn’t say “World Shrinker must be nerfed”. It was probably caught up in tying expansion content to the profession skill of that expansion when the profession changes were done.
they have gone through the entire toy box and nerfed the heck out of it, the toy box use to amuse me but now I hardly ever use it.
