just a curiosity. Looking at world quests in SL versus DF…DF are 90 some gold, while SL are like 250.

The SL quests gave more gold because gold was worthless that expansion. Everything worth having cost Anima.

I suspect because of just plain incompetence. Someone probably went through the DF area and reduced the rewards what they felt was appropriate to funnel people to TWW. SL was reduced years ago and left at those numbers. There’s probably no one going back through the old areas and balancing the amounts across the board.

I’m seeing 15 WQs in DF that give 3,110 gold (not including the 7 Dragon Races if they still give gold). And 6 in SL that give a total of 1,572 gold.
So I assume that it’s because of the sheer amount of WQs available comparatively.
SL has a total of 24 WQs.
DF has a total of 45 WQs.

SL world quests are incredibly annoying and the lucrative ones can take forever to do.

People were farming DF world quests cuz they were high money
Nobody went back to farm SL for gold cuz nobody wants to do SL
people were having fun making money in the world, fun detected and now they killed it
