World Quests not rewarding correct ilvl in ZM

I am maxed out on cypher research, 6/6. System was working fine last week.

Right now, world quests display ilvl 226, but is rewarding ilvl 236, but should be rewarding ilvl 252.

Anyone else having this issue?

The reward display hasn’t been updating for me lately. It will say 226, then reward the higher ilvl. Hopefully this is the case for you as well!

Err nvm, just reread. Idk!

Trinkets don’t scale with cypher level. Or blizz is detangling the spaghetti and you need to farm levels again or some nonsense.

Two issues:

(1) ZM trinkets are not counted as “Cypher” gear for some reason, so they cannot appear as rewards from chests or daily quests, and they do not scale up with your Cypher console.

(2) World quest trinket reward is incorrectly displayed as 226, even though the actual reward is 236. Note: They can randomly upgrade to 242 if you are lucky.

This is a huge downgrade for open world players, after having years of decent trinket rewards from world content.

Thank you so much, I had no idea!

It’s not an issue. It’s on purpose. Trinkets aren’t Cypher gear, so Blizz decided we can’t have 252 trinkets for who knows what reason.

Devs don’t want open world gear to compete with raid gear, even low Normal iLvl raid gear.

Every single last design decision for 9.2/9.2.5, for everything from the handling of Torghast and ZM to M+ and PvP gearing, points to the fact that devs are trying to force all players into raiding with every single last other bit of content being side content.

Rather than devs adapting game design to the actual needs of the playerbase, the playerbase apparently needs to either go against its own interests, or simply leave the game entirely. (Earning reports confirm that Blizzard actually lost users in the quarter that 9.2 launched, despite the fact that users should spike when a new major WoW content patch is released.)

Get 242 trinkets here. You literally pick them up off the ground:

246 for the Gemstone, but yeah the trinkets from those sand piles are nice. Bad part is needing to redo the campaign on each character to access it.
