"World quests 2.0" are a failure, change it back please

So this caught my attention just now:

https://www.reddit.com/r/wow/comments/mh2hdq/i_miss_the_world_quests_where_you_would_only_need/

Barely 7 hours old and already at 4.6k+ ‘likes’, it’s obvious people are not happy with the longer/more tedious WQs of Shadowlands :joy:

Please reconsider this annoying/tedious Shadowlands WQ design and go back to the easy WQ design of Legion/BFA.

I’m fine with it i actually like it better than the shorter world quests cause you have more to do

I like some of the world quests…but many of them just feel more tedius than fun or epic…

I want more of them that build up to something you are invested in for the next day, instead of randomly scattered recycling of dailies. (almost like collections of little stories or something that are related)

it’s like nothing tells a story anymore.

I think the quest people could do a much better job tbh.

They really aren’t that long. You are being ridiculous. Gear up a little and you will smash right through them.

(Thinks of the wheelbarrow race in Revendreth)

Yea so tedious and long.

I hate the world quests this expansion and it’s one of the many reasons I quit. I don’t have a lot of time to play world quests make up a lot of my end game. But they’re so tedious and awful this time around I can’t stand them.

They suck just like all SL content.

surprised people are still doing them when not liking them. I just stopped all together a good while ago. Not seeing the point in it all.

If you have any alts you’ll probably still be doing them, haven’t touched WQs on my main in a few weeks.

Just noticed it’s up to 6.8k ‘likes’ now. Keep complaining boys, let’s get our “kill 1 mob” WQs back :+1:

Not even doing them on my alts or main honestly…its just not that enjoyable. I used to farm every WQ on multiple characters in legion/bfa. had a routine. enjoyed it and worked on a few things. but this expansion its not that enjoyable and the idea of doing it is daunting.

Some of them are clever, but too many are tedious bar-filling “kill 50 things” lazy crap that are very unpleasant to do.

I love that one! One time I got it just right with the speed bonuses, hit a bump, and literally flew across the finish line!

I’m just finding the WQ are getting boring for me. Everyone gets the same calling so it’s one area with only 4 - 5 quests at most. The quest areas are small and it’s annoying to fight for tags when the other faction is swarming the spot.

I’m not a fan of the “move the goal posts” approach to some of them. You think you’re done, but wait there’s more. And the more is sometimes go to some spot that is not obvious or apparent.

Another thing I’m not a fan of personally, is too many of them seem to rely on the vehicle interface. I spend all this time building up my character (such as it is), and then I don’t even get to play it.

Honestly I’ve had no problem with the duration or difficulty. Like all WQ’s, they’re mindless time sinks. It’s the rewards vs time expended that are way out of kilter. Who wants to grind mobs for 10 minutes for a lousy 35 anima? It’s a massive waste of time.

I don’t even bother with a world quest unless it awards 3 or 4 stacks of 35 anima, and even them it seems a paltry reward for time invested.

What, you don’t like having to randomly fetch books on top of what’s already an entirely too long grind fest?

I prefer the quick world quests because either way they are boring mindless content in SL they just take longer.

If they aren’t going to take the time to improve the system and make it less mindless and boring then just leave it short and simple.

I do however vastly prefer callings to emissaries and 100% agree that world quests should not be a viable way of obtaining gear beyond preparing yourself for mythic 0 dungeons. I will stand and die on this hill. It was absurd in BfA getting heroic raid gear equivalent pieces from savings turtles

Yeah there needs to be more of them in each zone and a lot more variety

I think I’ve done pretty much every WQ in Shadowlands at least once. Most of them are easy and take a few minutes at most. The few that are longer, I just skip. I just do the ones I need each day for callings that require them, and occasionally I’ll do one if I’m nearby doing something else and can easily knock it out.

They hired Billy May’s to design the WQs
