This quest in Undermined does not work as you’re unable to properly aim at the Darkfuse targets. You can move the cursor around, however, it will only shoot directly in front of the target.
I was only able to complete it as I had to wait for the planes to come within the hit box and this look about a half hour to complete.
I had the same thing happen. Exit the Sniper mode and re-entered and it worked fine.
Same crap… 2 diff toons. Tried everything. Takes 30 min to finish. Rediculous.
I got the same issue. Exiting and re-entering sniper mode doesn’t work for me. I pugged it, that’s how I was able to complete it on 2 different toons.
I can hit the targets but the bar isn’t increasing for me.
Same here. I was able to successfully complete this on one toon yesterday but I cannot on this toon today. I pick up the sniper rifle, aim and put the target reticle directly on the mob, and pull the trigger. Nothing. I can hear the gun shot but nothing happens to the mob. So frustrating!
Just did this quest and I thought it was bugged too, then I tried using the right mouse button on an off chance… If you use the right mouse button to move the crosshairs it’ll aim properly.

Thank you! Most bizarre, left mouse click will let you move around but does not count when you use 1 to shoot. Using right mouse click did the trick!
Moving with only the Left mouse button and/or arrow keys will cause it to stay where it is but camera move
Ok, I’m not sure what’s up with this quest. It’s still bugged. I disabled all my addons, refreshed, shut down the game, etc and nothing I do will still work.
It doesn’t matter where I aim, the game literally picks one point in time and it’ll fire there regardless if anything is in my site. I have to wait until something flies in front of that exact spot until I can hit it… regardless of where I’m aiming. It will still continue to shoot even if my site is pointing on the completely opposite side.
