I just had a World Quest in the Azure Span (Spellbound Creatures) that was supposed to award an iLevel 400+ Agility Trinket for my Assassination Rogue. However, when it completed, it gave me Dragon Isle Supplies and Whelpling’s Dreaming Crests.
What in the world is going on here? This is not the first time I’ve seen this happen today.
I’ve had this happen to me when the weekly event for dream surge is in that zone. Not sure if it’s happened in other time.
Dream surge is not in this zone at the moment.
Just logged onto my Hunter, and the same World Quest is up with the same Agility Trinket.
Going to record it this time.
I noticed the same thing earlier.
Only thing I could think of is that it was an alt that still had the “upgrade an item using flight stones” quest, and the rewards changed to whelprocks after I turned that in.
Not sure if that quest in particular activates whelpling crests as a WQ reward and changed them, or if it’s just random bugs.
Only thing I did was start a group finder for the quest…I wonder if that changed it.
I dunno, I’m kinda really not happy about it. My rogue is still running a < iLevel 200 trinket, and that 420+ one would have been very nice.
Do some time rifts and buy decent ones.
Of course, I record it, and it doesn’t flip the rewards this time, lmao.
Oh well.
@Mystgun - I’ve tried Time Rifts…but I can’t do them solo, and no-one else seems to be doing them, so that’s pretty much a no go. Actually, I can prob get a decent trinket replacement from the Dream Surge vendor.
If you check group finder or start one yourself the timerift one usually fills up so you can get it complete. Also the rewards are being upped as well to keep it in line with current ilvl so it shouldn’t become obsolete like these things usually do.
