Is it me, or did the gold rewards go down? Certain world quests now only give about 100 gold or so, where they used to give 600 gold, give or take.
Maybe I’m wrong.

I believe that’s pretty typical when a new expansion comes out - the cash reward for world quests in the previous expansion gets reduced (because the quests become trivial to do once you’ve out leveled them).
And also because the developers really want you playing the new content, rather than trying to grind out resources in outdated content.
SL world quests give more gold than DF now. And they reset daily.
