World PvP on this server

I want to laugh at this post because my guild was told how bad we were for going out to South Shores to do some WPVP.

Redwood is a small med to heavy RP guild but we do PVP once in awhile and because we are kind all low levels we can not stand up to all these alliance guilds that have a bunch of 60s in them. But you know what, that is ok. We are here… and by WE, I mean all of us, alliance and horde are here to have fun, do some RP maybe, and some WPVP, and experience classic the way we want to. If we don’t come to defend Orgrimmar, it might be we are out in Stormwind, or in this case we were at South Shores. The Enclave came in an wiped us which is kind awesome to see them come out to our shenanigans . Either way it was fun for us to do some WPVP even though that is not our main focus.

Until next time, have fun, stay safe, and play classic the way you want.

Ayashe Brightmane,
Chieftain of Redwood Tribes

You sure do have some reading comprehension issues. You responded to a post about multi-raid, main city zergs.

I think you might have a few loose screws, all my posts are about people not engaging in WPvP at all, and you told me it’s because my raids are too big.

So you’re admitting to posting about something outside the scope of the discussion, and you’re calling me dumb?

Oh ok.

You replied to me, when I replied to a general statement about “zergs” I can’t tell if you are trolling or actually this challenged.

Can’t engage the argument, start the IRL insults.

Typical.

I answered the argument you ignored it twice… The cutest thing about your character is that you have your helmet hidden. We all know you have one.

You didn’t. :joy: You just tried to insult me. Then you’re posting nonsense to try to cover up your inability to read the context of what you’re responding to.

I understand your obsession with me, but there’s no need to go frothing at the mouth.

I didn’t realize this was a thread about extreme projection, I guess you really are trying to get around the fact that you can’t scroll up and read. LMAO.

More than you realize.

:joy:

hanners join the horde i have a spot for you here

Alas, I am a traitor. I am no longer welcome on the Horde.

I see that a few talk about guilds and big guilds.
However, the only time I’ve seen so far an alliance raid into orgrimmar couldn’t go past the gates, I believe it was the dwarven guild. No other horde guild did the defense, but the united forces of multiple guilds working for the first time.

Opposed to something a female human said before, I don’t care if it is enclave or hurricane guilds attacking in full force Orgrimmar, I will go to the defense and we will keep calling for reinforcements until alliance fails. I don’t believe in godly guilds.

So yes, extremely huge organized raids can be difficult to counter, but it ain’t impossible.

We do this at the same time every week. Aside from the fact that anyone paying attention would have noticed by now, we advertise the day and time of our PvP raids in our recruitment threads. We welcome any Horde who would like to come fight.

Personally it’s just a question of time management but I also only have a 20 minute commute. Most of my gametime is evenings after work and I have the entire weekend for s/o and other life activities. I get household chores/cooking/exercising, etc. done before/after gaming and log off at a decent hour to get sleep. But I also prioritize my in game time. For example I don’t have a lot of time to farm gold so my epic mount will take longer, but I hit 60 and have time for PvE and PvP raids several days a week.

Yeah if I had a 20 minute commute I could make it work more, my commute is more like 1-1.5 hours

I just want to point out that a lot of people on this server are not in the Pacific time zone. When this server was released, it was the only RP-PvP server that existed so a lot of people came here because they wanted RP PvP and had no other choice. Many people were surprised Blizz even released an RP PvP server. Personally I’m an East Coaster and would prefer the server be CST at least. In fact I tried to argue for that when the server first came out knowing we’d have this exact problem. But it’s too late now and at this point, I know a ton of people that are Central and East Coast on this server. By 8 PST I’m finishing my night and trying to log off at that point, or soon thereafter.

Thanks for pointing out that not everyone on Grobbulus live in PST, I guess, although I’m not sure what you think clarifying that point accomplishes?

It certainly doesn’t change the fact that at 5pm PST, a huge chunk of the server population are just getting off work and another huge chunk of people are settling down with dinners/kids/etc. The successful events I’ve seen are at 8pm PST, which just so happens to coincide with server time.

If I was creating posts lamenting the state of wpvp and asking why no one was around at 11pm PST, it’d be relevant for you to point out that half of the country is likely in bed by then. It wouldn’t make sense for me to retort that I know of a lot of west coasters who are still awake…

There so many factors going on right now that affect what can be perceived as lack of participation in WPvP. First is the obvious time zone differences, although that isn’t the main factor. There is also that the average player is still leveling, and there are still two active layers on the server (which is only recent, there were more.) The best way to gage WPvP will be once the average player is 60 and layering is gone. There is also that there isn’t really any PvP content out yet either. Once PvP content starts to role out you will see more and more people doing WPvP. Be patient my friends.

I really hope a majority of events/raids do not take place starting at 8PM PST/11PM EST, that’s pretty late for EST players who have to be up in the morning for work.

Is there a strong EST presence on this server? It feels like more than a few raids and events are PST favored (on a PST server, shocking I know…)
