Probably because wod just felt empty. Then you jumped into legion and holy people and things to do!
Huge difference.
Wod suffered from the same thing SL did. Time/effort investment.
They promised a lot, ran out of time/resources and couldn’t keep up and cut a majority of the content and focused their workload on the next xpac. Which basically wrote off the current (when you were in wod/sl).
I definitely feel like this is just the thought process of most wow players who have played wow for a long time its like the same copy and paste response on alot of these conversations which is what it is I’m not hating but wpvp is not good in that state in my opinion I think there needs to be a change at some point in the future maybe not anytime soon because theres more important things to work on than wpvp for sure but while blizz is on this road to reshaping wow at some point wpvp being changed would be great in my opinion make it fun and exciting not getting one shot by max level characters all the time
In bfa they head scaling where low level was able to stomp multiple max level players ,needless to say that rubbed max level players wrong way and they qq river and blizz removed scaling. So pvp is unbalanced cesspit that blizzard will never be able to balance because if they do they will have to homogenize all classes and specs and no matter what they do someone will complain.
never say never I know they had a bad rep for a while but it really looks like they are trying to make wow a better place maybe someday in a distant expac they will figure out how to balance this issue but first I hope they remake all the old zones and have a dlc dedicated to questing in the old zones would be cool before they worked on figuring out the war mode problem
Most of pvp servers where controlled by 1 faction reason why they made warmode was because if you chose wrong faction on pvp server you would be unable to play in open world from all ganking and corpse farming.
I read it. And of course he didn’t say he got camped. But read between the lines. It reads exactly like someone who got their poop pushed in and are here to rave about how amazing the did against a 70 because the opposite faction sucks and they can only kill low levels.
Having them instantly die if they kill a lowbie is hilarious to me. That should definitely be a thing. Death has been treated like a joke in this game anyway.
Someone said BFA had the best preflight PVP. Imma have to agree there. I haven’t cared about PVP since Legion/BFA, when Outlaw rogue was treated with respect.
I feel like they tip toe around Outlaw because Rogue has been babied so much in the past. There is some unwritten rule were they think Sub should be the only thing that can PVP.
I have no problem with ganking. Been the victim of it many times and although it could be annoying I always believed it was part of what made pvp servers/warmode dangerous and exciting. What made it fun was you could call out for help from others in the zone or if you had guildies online and people would work together to fight off the instigators. And maybe they’d bring their buddies and we’d have a war.
There probably should be outside of the Dragon Isles. Or bring back Dishonorable Kills. The problem is the Devs dont get pvp period, let alone World PVP.
The removal of vendors
The SL gearing system
The convoluted BiS gear in this expansion
World PVP is a lot of fun when its by comparable enemies. When its ganking, its stupid. But this is the world view of a team that thought players-vs-gear was acceptable.
