World PvP is pointless and not fun

Unless you are a rogue. You can’t ever attack an alliance player without 10 people ganging on you because they don’t ever respect a 1v1. So no matter how good you are or how bad the guy your’e killing is you still are just going to die because its 1v10.

If you’re a rogue you can gank people and vanish, other classes may as well just keep that WM off honestly, sad game.

Yea mostly same :frowning: the few times I have turned it on I can’t 1v1 or even 1v2 people. I can 1v2 two bad people but when there’s 3 or more even if they suck im going to die and its obnoxious because nobody is ever fighting alone.

If you want people to respect the 1v1 then you have to respect the 1v2, 1v10 and 1v40 as well

Yea I feel that some world quests have to many players around

Dueler’s guild may be more your thing.

There is no guarantee of 1v1 in WPvP, nor has WPvP ever been advertised as such.

So… you’re looking to duel in World PvP? Am I reading this right?

World PvP is dynamic and chaotic. Sometimes you’ll get mobbed, sometimes you’ll be part of the mob. 1v1 is sometimes present, but it’s less of an occurrence around open-world group content like rare elite world quests and incursions.

And all that is kind of the whole point of it. If you want to 1v1 people to see who’s better at playing their class in a “fair” fight, then go duel outside Orgrimmar or… uh, Goldshire, or wherever the Alliance does it on the regular.

If you want frenetic, manic death pouring all over you on occasion, or the glorious banners of your factions proudly on display at the head of your vanguard as you dispense your faction’s justice on the opposite one, or just that “will someone attack me if I stop to grab this mining node” feeling of looking over your shoulder, then world PvP/warmode is for you. The problem is, for many people, that all of that comes bundled in War Mode, regardless of what portions of it you’re interested in.

But, as a bonus, you can take it or leave it now, instead of rerolling an entirely new character on a new server if you decided it wasn’t your cup of tea. So there’s that.

You could also grab a group of your own. Safety in numbers, and such.

If the strategy you’re always running into that defeats you works that well, then you can certainly use it yourself.

Im not looking to duel im looking for people to actually die and be punished. If I die to a 1v1 or 1v2 im not mad, thats wPvP but when its only 1v10s thats when it gets stupid and pointless content

What do you want Blizzard to do?

This is a human being problem though, not a game problem.

If people prefer to attack you 10 v 1, that is the players themselves choosing to behave that way.

There isn’t much Blizzard can do to fix how mob mentality rules.

Then don’t do it…

But…its not pointless.

If me and my fellow Alliance Thug-o-nauts crush 25 horde scum under our boots, we get a shiny back home.

All morning, Horde would run from me 1v1. Then when a warchest drops, suddenly it’s 3v1…

That’s just cause DKs are spooky, demon hunters are the spookiest tho

You’re right, that’s not the fun part of WM, when you get teamed up on…

But when you get WM huge battles like when one faction attacks a town and you have to defend THAT is where it get’s good.

(As long as you can get a group together lol)

And never believe anyone who says otherwise. They’re looking for patsies.

Not like Rogues can one shot other 120’s and vanish …get a clue OP

Yeah basically this. /thread

Wpvp is fun because it’s the last things in this game that can actually be considered remotely fun. Scuffed pvp is literally the best kind of pvp, the type of pvp where you’re on the edge constantly, where your heart actually starts pounding in your ears because you know at any moment you can be killed.

There’s a genuine sense of camaraderie in wpvp, instead of people crying and whining in Battlegrounds that “Alliance/Horde loses all the time!! this sux!!! waah!” seeing someone being corpse camped by like 3 rogues and you rushing head first, not even thinking that, you’re in fact, outnumbered and you’re gonna’ lose is the way I’ve met so many friends.

Wpvp is so distinct from the bland, milktoast instanced systems we have today and it’s one of the systems that’s least changed from the days of old. That’s to say, wpvp in Classic has always had the same characteristics as we do today, but I’d argue that we’ll never see the grand battles for control over questing hubs, that’s a bygone era.

Mad cos bad?? Too many rogues beat ur butt aw darn
