When I played my allaince toon, it was free crates all day. Maybe i was on different shard but I never even looked over my shoulder.
every other day or so i spend a bit of time in between queues waiting for a chest to drop. in the past two months i have gotten three (!!!) total because every other time the chest is surrounded by 10-15 alliance. there is definitely a major imbalance. this is on thrall too, but i have no idea how sharding works so not sure if that matters.
Yeah, it might’ve been your shard. At the start of Dragonflight, at least for me, there weren’t many Alliance at crates, and Horde won uncontested most of the time. It wasn’t until midway through the expansion that Alliance started showing up more. Even then, I was still able to win more than half the crates I fought for. Then again, that might’ve just been because I pretty much carried the Horde while stacked with world buffs.

I blame the vulpera. They transformed the horde from the zug zug to the hug hug.
On MG/WRA it was still favored horde at start, but got a bit more even as the Expac progressed. I quit playing about 6 months in to DF and didnt come back until TWW, so not sure how it was the rest of the expac, but looks like Alliance probably started growing through out lol.

As horde I think i have looted two crates this xpac. The faction imbalance makes me apathetic to leaving the capitol. Sitting in the city when not doing a weekly sparks quest is making me apathetic to the idea of logging in.
We must rise above. It’s up to us to fix this.

Well I can definitely say joining a PVP community is a life changer (Nacho Party) specifically. Every crate farm group has been successful and we get every crate in each zone, except every ocasional one that we can’t get to in time. Can’t say alliance even give it a good try when we’re around it’s mainly a bunch of trolls trying to dismount or knock us off edges/abusing follower dung Q. I guess they are getting salty they aren’t getting their free crates anymore
