Is there a point to playing on a PvP server if the realm is layered?

I rode the ship Menethil Harbor and tried to unlock the flight path, only to find out the flight master had been killed and a Druid, Warlock, Priest, and Hunter were camping on top of the building nearby and killed me along with a couple other low level people.

I rallied some level 60s in SW to aid and upon arrival they are on a different layer? Defeats any will to want to defend against these kinds of attacks.

World PvP seems fun on paper but I can now understand how layering has neutered it, in some cases completely.

Layering and retail WarMode both did irreversible damage to the War in Warcraft.

This is new, WMC had layers disabled until today from June of 2023 I think it was (we complained).

Looks like its a bug that needs fixin.,

Because we had no layers the WPVP has been stellar for ages now.

I totally agree that layering should be kept to a minimum after players spread out from the starting zones.
