Warriors have always been one of the absolute strongest PvP classes in group PvP in classic, they have more utility than practically every class, do huge damage, and are hard to kill. Now they also have their weaknesses, and its not uncommon for warriors in all their glory to charge deep into a group of the enemy out of a healers range to be thumped into the ground, but no warriors are not weak in anyway in PvP.
I would agree typically they aren’t the best solo class, as few really use their utility well, I sadly suspect many warriors might not even buy all their skills because who needs things like an AOE fear, fear immunity, disarm, or pummel, but a really well played warrior, like any well played class, is tough to beat even solo. That said, it’s tough to find good players in any class, as most people are mediocre at best especially at PvP.
I know you’re talking about MCP and PvE, but I was discussing PvP.
As for PvE the MCP scales insane good, it’s wildly better at higher gear levels than low.
In PvP tho, attack speed is less important and it’s more about making your opponent play your game instead of his.
IMO start doing some WSG and while you will get clobbered at first; if you watch what is going on and ask questions about how things are done you’ll learn a ton and better you will started having a discussion with your self about why isn’t PvP 10x more popular?

No, I’m not talking about MCP or PvE. Not sure where you got that from. I’m talking about weapon damage and how even with weapons that have feral attack power they still will not fully compensate for the fact that weapon damage is not factored into feral DPS.
So basically a feral druid with Atiesh doesn’t scale as a warrior with Might or Menethil, a rogue with gressil, a hunter with Nerubian Slavemaker. Casters also scale better. Literally every DPS scales better in PvP.
Is that your main? because warriors are my easiest 1v1, rogues just sit still and die when you fairie fire them, hunters are the easiest targets for moonfire spam.
My pvp pecking order
- Shadow priest/warlock
- Rogue
- Shaman
- Balance druid
- Mage
- Hunter
- Warrior
- Paladin
- Feral druid
Im rather enjoying Nightslayer overflowing with Warriors, Rogues and Mages. Like a bunch of Honor Pinatas that just need the gentlest of taps to break open
Please, Death Wish and crit me for 350 so this 1400 damage IF’d Mind Blast crit doesnt take any pushback.
Please, spend Prep, 2 Blind Powder and 2 Vanish powder trying to run a hardlock rotation you watched on Youtube while youve got SWP and Plague + 5 Weaves disintegrating you.
Please, poly me over and over resetting my health while you have SWP on you and i just stripped 4500 mana worth of buffs off you. I promise if you reset enough you might get somewhere
I had a Warrior in R10 gear with a TUF crit me for 390 last night. Three ninety. With MS. Three hundred and ninety. I ended up just dotting him and wanding him down as a joke.
I cant tell you how many Rogues ive watched try to hardlock me with 2 dots on them, gently tickling me with Hemo, only to absolutely crash out when they realize theyre at 10% and try to sprint away just to drop dead.
And mages… dear god mages. We need to talk about how reckless you guys are with that Cold Snap ice block. I shouldnt be getting it out of you for the cost of a Silence and a Mind Blast cast i never planned on finishing.

If you’re even half decent at your class, you have a winning match-up vs warrior at all gear levels. It’s closer to 55/45 or 60/40 on average in the very early stages of gearing, and then falls with every raid tier past BWL.
If you’re a warrior fighting good players, you basically auto-lose everything. You’ll beat an actually good mage a couple of times with gimmick stuff (resto pot, ornate mithril boots, spider belts, a good reflect, etc) but then never again. You should never beat a rogue that can 5-8 kite properly. You should never beat a hunter who knows how to position properly. You should never beat a lock with double void sac available. You don’t beat ret pally outside of them getting no crits/seal procs. You don’t beat ele sham. You maybe beat druid if they choose to fight you? But why would they do that. They can literally just leave. Like, what do you actually do well into?
And your argument for their group pvp power. They’re great specifically at setting up a kill target by applying ms, and doing some burst damage (rogues can also do this btw, while still having their mountain of utility, ccing the entire backline by themselves is just as effective as MS, maybe moreso). If you’re playing 10v10 arena matches, sure, warrior is great. If you’re doing important things like escorting an FC, spinning, or really anything objective related, basically the entire rest of the cast does it better.
And Lorithas knows what’s up. I hate fighting spriests as a warrior. The only class I pop reck vs because otherwise you just don’t get through the shield. You still lose this if they get blackout procs on you. Maybe you win by pre-potting shadow protection and using resto pots like you’re fighting a raid boss lmao

Succubus is so much better vs warrior or any melee really and IMO is the best overall warlock PvP pet.
Warriors can pretty much do nothing against seduce. They can break the first one with trinket but after that you get 2 free seduces. The only way they win is if they pummel the seduce and kill the pet before they can seduce, which can be countered with a death coil.
You kill the succubus in a global because it has less than 2k hp. Charge->fear->kill succy->go lock
don’t forget shadow reflector+nades
The soulfire succubus setup is a one off gimmick build. It’s very easily broken.
If you’re lucky. And a global is pretty much all you’ll get. You’re locked down the rest of the time and the succubus gets the jump because of invisibility. I’ve literally never encountered a warrior that can deal with my succubus.
They suck then. Succubus locks were my preferred lock in 2019 ranking. Because even if you fear the vw you sometimes can’t kill before the fear wears off and they get the sac. It’s far more consistent to HS+MS the succubus with sub 2k hp. Especially because 99% of the locks running succubus are also really really bad too. Reliant on the seduce to land their damage.
Maybe, but again the first seduce is pretty much guaranteed thanks to invisibility. If you don’t have a way to break that you’re completely locked down from 100% health to 0.
Sure, that’s a lot of fights for warrior though. Eat a trap you didn’t know was down? There goes 70% of your health and good luck getting into intercept range of the hunter.
Succubus setup gets a lot of free wins. But it’s also the easier to beat lock build. Double void sac is infinitely harder, and even if you “win” it’s usually a trade.
Really depends on the situation. I find succubus to be far better in group play using her as a CC bot locking down healers and whatever else. Voidwalker doesn’t really do anything in those situations unless someone is targeting you. It’s a good 1v1 pet but that’s about it.
Succubus much better for battlegrounds IMO.
If you’re doing real group pvp, felhunter, silence and the devour magic go crazy (can remove rocket helmet with that btw). Succy is great for general purpose though. Personally I think VW is better for solo play. Even in bgs. You’re more likely to get dive bombed, you’re an immobile caster. A 2k+ shield is huge. Worst case you die but can still roll dots onto all of them, wastes a ton of their time having to heal all that off.
Honestly thinking on it more maybe just depends on team. If you rng healers/premading felhunter. If you rng a frontline succy. If you get nothing and gotta carry vw.

True. If you’re horde it’s likely you’re already going to have a bunch of offensive dispells on your team with shamans and priests making a felhunter much less valuable.
Big true. I only consider felhunter from personal use. Getting stuck in a rocket helm is brutal. If you’re in a prem/have healers you don’t need the vw shield as much. Better to be able to release yourself from some cc’s on demand.

Well you have a few chances if they don’t fear her, which they shouldn’t because you should have her sit like 20 yards away.
Even if they fear the succ, you can dot + coil + immo conflag and still have a decent chance to 1v1 that warrior.
If they eat the seduce (95% of time) it is almost guarantee win, though you generally still need to use the coil after intercept if nothing crit.
I love the lady pet, but in WSG or certain duels i think the dog is better.
The pet positioning is only really relevant while defending or duels. There’s no universe you’re pre-positioning pet while walking around wsg/ab lol If you are doing this you’re either doing it incredibly wrong, or you’re really good at making people hate you and dragging people into pointless road fights.
