Only if my Bard can have an electric guitar hooked to an amp on my back powered by Anima and I can run around in a DK skin jamming For Whom The Bell Tolls.
No flavor of Warlock matches the Undead Horde style Necromancer.
Demonology doesnât even properly give you the Demon Army fantasy.
I would love a proper Necromancer class. There would be some overlap with Warlock, and certainly you could add a fourth Warlock spec for the horde style Necromancer, as Affliction already gives you the life draining, cursing type Necro style. But no amount of changing demons to undead will make the current Warlock match without other alterations.
shadow hunter would be neat.
bards would neat but im not sure if itd work mechanically with wow gameplay.
Canât say I really care so long as it plays well.
I feel the bard class would be cool but some devs like cryptic studios and standalone games and ncsoft have always had a hard time balancing the bard class when it can hop between supporting allies and doing big deeps and they have such a hard time balancing the dps spec that they typically end up nerfing it into the ground to where ur dps doesnât feel as impactful as playing the healing spec and just healing and supporting ur allies LOTRO did it with their red dps build, Neverwinter also did it recently with the dps build, and aion did it a long time ago and so did blade and soul with the dps build⌠I feel if they do it in a similar way to FF14âs bard class it wont feel like ur playing a bard so I dont really like that route either despite it being more balanced⌠I also love the idea of necromancer because death knight fits a melee based necromancer fantasy while actual necromancer can be ranged magic based fantasy and have summons like summoning something akin to kehlthuzad similar to how warlocks can summon a demonic tyrant or dreadlord but I feel WoWâs next class could be void based in the sense that we get no class in the war within but we could get one in the midnight expansion I would love a true void class like voidweaver because shadow priest is an underwhelming spec for the void magic like they could add it for the people who want to play the true fantasy of having a void warlock using void magic
Looks like our new class is a necro, and its already here.
A class that mixes weapons with magic could be cool. Call it Spellweaver with specs like;
Spellbreaker - tank (like silvermoon guards)
Spellblade - dps (the boss from nighthold)
Spellbow - dps or support (like vereesa windrunner)
War within was perfect time to release a tinker, tho they might be saving it for last titan, someome on forum already had big post about what tinker should be like and it seemed really good.
A ranged tank like the ones in SWTOR could be cool.
im gonna hoping for a character that is a mixed of ranged and melee much like the red mage on ffxiv or gw2 mesmer.
I mage with a sword that uses itâŚ
and illusionist would be awesomeâŚ
but i do love bards and i can see that workin with this concept.
Ranged tanks make no sense when tanks are always at melee range and have to constantly reposition the boss.
sounds incredibly dangerous in a spontaneously combustible kind of way.
People acting like theyâd have to overhaul engineering if we got Tinker. Why? Did they rename all the caster items with the word âevokerâ? Cause itâs a decent list.
Theyâd add the class and ignore the rest, as per our usual agreement.
Absolutely waiting for something like âtinkerâ engineer class to actually relate to the gnomish/goblin engineering, rather than another dwarf reskin and silly fantasy dragon dracthyrs.
Most of the people I talk to about this, agree completely, the only ones donât are Blizz I guess
Hopefully itâs Gnome/Goblin exclusive. Itâd look dumb on any other race.
I bet it would be another support class. Which would naturally be received with wild ovation!
Almost certainly something Titan or Void related.
We have yet to receive a new Cloth Wearing class in now 20 years.
DK = Plate
Monk = Leather
DH = Leather
Evoker = Mail
I think the next class, whatever it will be, most definitely should be some sort of Cloth wearer.
Pretty much the only fantasy cloth class that isnât already represented (explicitly) is Necromancer, and I think thatâs thematically and mechanically covered by existing classes already to the point where adding it would be redundant and require stealing too much from others.
I donât see much need to add a new cloth class just to say they did.
Frankly, the only thing thatâs supported by Warcraftâs history and would actually be distinct from existing classes thematically and mechanically would be Tinker. Anything else people come up with could easily just be an extra spec or a cosmetic skin for an existing class.
