Blizzard owns the right to release every and all Mounts for free if they want.

MAN I had not heard this… I cant wait to get my free 3000 dollar mount. I am sure glad I did not have poor life decision skills and wasted 3000$ real dollars on some dumb defunct card came for a pixel dragon.

You won’t be able to change the public opinion about this… Most of the people playing WoW today were not there back in Classic/TBC/Wotlk/Cataclysm… They don’t even know what a rare mount is… It’s like a bunch of Gen-Z who got into this world and wants everything right now.

I mean, it’s a mount that has been genned to Hell to line the pockets of AH moguls and was only obtainable by spending real life money on the earlier versions of video game lootboxes. There was no hard work involved, it was hope you got lucky or spend multiple thousands of dollars on eBay and pray to not get scammed out of your money.
Bringing back old TCG items isn’t some catastrophe, especially with how long the card game has been over. I can respect keeping old mounts and rewards that you had to work for out of the game, but not items that took no skill to get and were rare solely based on real life RNG.

The people that spent $3000 didn’t spend it with Blizzard. Blizzard didn’t set that price. Blizzard got $.25 cents for that mount. Blizzard has no obligation to the third party aftermarket. None. Zip. Zero. That’s between those people in those transactions.
For every $3000 mount buyer, there’s going to be 10,000 twitch viewers consuming WoW content, being “engaged”, telling their friends. That’s worth a boat load more to Blizzard in short and long term.
