Nostalgia isn’t as strong a drug as others…

and yet, questing is still harder to do than it was in 2006 because there’s too many players everywhere I go.

And I’m sure it will jump back up when 8.3 comes out. Nothing out of the ordinary here.

#1-5 will fall off that list before WoW does. Everyone always comes back to WoW.

I don’t understand the purpose of even listing something as pointless as this article anyways.

Gee, the popularity of a fifteen year old game is dropping…who knew that would happen…

I know there’s a lot of nay-sayers that insist that “Blizzard is evil…blah blah…class changes…yada yada…” but realistically, should it not be assumed that today’s generation of gamer has the attention span of a fruit fly on speed, and anything more than a 5-minute zerg is lost on them?

How about that the gamers WoW started with has maybe grown up and is spending their time with new family and such?

Blizzard has had a good thing with WoW – no other MMO has had such a profitable run as they have (even Everquest, which while it’s also still going, it’s a mere shell of what it was a decade ago.)

Bottom line here: drop the hate. If you don’t like what Blizzard has become, just let it go [queue that darn Disney song]

Obviously this list has no correlation to quality of game because I just checked out the #1 ranked PC game, Dungeon Fighter Online. That has to be the biggest pile of dog poo I have ever seen.

Lets have a peek at the list…

-1. DFO
Never heard of it…
-2. Borderlands 3
Its alright for the looter shooter but it needs content its getting thin (and the nerfs wtf?)
-3. Fantasy Westward Journey Online II
What? Damn China " Unlike many Western MMORPG’s, the games feature prominent nudity and anti-religious themes."
-4. Crossfire
Some sort of Chinese Counter Strike
-5. WoW West
Sounds like an awesome expansion for WoW, a Western themed one.

I have a feeling this is fake, I mean, look at the #1 game, it doesn’t even look that good to be pulling top tier profits, neither does crossfire or westward.

If this is actually legitime, it means wow is more dead than ever.

Because apparently hit pieces from bias game journalist= WoW is dying even though it really isn’t. People are just finding excuses to crap on the company these days despite not knowing how the industry works and in recent events how corporate laws work. :-/ Gotta get them clicks I guess because honest game news doesn’t pay the bills.

I looked at that websites data collection methods last time someone post about them and their information isn’t reliable.

Well, let’s see. Superdata is affiliated with Nelson Research, which is in the business of data collection and ratings. They run the gambit from television to supermarket to apparently even video games.

Your credentials and methodology are…?

It’s in the top 10 still after 15 years, where no other game out of the 30 listed there interest me at all. I’d say 6th place out of all the pc games still going is pretty ok.

Cool story

Dungeon fighter is extremely popular in china iirc. I believe it’s always been at the top.
