This game waited for all other mmo have done their housing first and WOW remained the last and waited long enough to start their own housing. In order to learn from all other housing to know what is bad and what is good to grab from and improve on it.
I don’t think houses should have any music either
This is like an answer that a Blizzard PR rep would give as to why they waited this long lmao
They’ve been holding it as an ace up their sleeve for a while now in hopes to bring people back is my guess.
OP out here making stuff up just to once again make another useless thread as usual.
Well you coulda went and played those other mmo with housing
OP, Wulfe, and Chargestun
The trifecta of pointless thread spam
i really just do NOT understand why we needed this feature. We had garrisons before and it resulted in the world feeling smaller and emptier. Not sure why we need housing.
If you have an issue then report all of my thread and try to get me suspended then. Otherwise, you can’t stop me from posting whatever I want and plus others have spammed and spout nonsense and yet here you are saying mine in particular is an issue that must be addressed compared to others.
Don’t tell me what to do
world of waitcraft amirite
Yeah. And?
I’m a lot less charitable than that.
I think a lot of the old developers who left just didn’t care enough to make housing a priority focus.
They wanted to launch the game with player housing but it eventually got cut from release, and each expansion focused more on progression than roleplay. and then they kept kicking the can further down the sidewalk until it was just never gonna happen anymore.
Rift had housing long before anyone from WoW thought of having housing.
Rift’s housing was ok…nothing great about them. Having a chair here. A table there. Nothing exciting about having housing in Rift. I was pretty much in my own little world. Separate from the outside world.
What do players expect from WoW’s housing? A Barbie Dream House?
I think they took a look at Palia and said, hey, we can shoulder into that market… maybe people really do want housing, haha
Garrisons are not player housing.
Housing was planned in Vanilla WoW. They just never had time to finish it.
Then you didn’t know half of what you could do with housing in Rift.
Palia is a cozy MMO, though it does have a few former WoW devs on the team.
Blizzard has had housing in mind since Vanilla, just never knew how to make the time to create it and all of the other content. They didn’t want people losing raid tiers for it. Much of the inspiration for WoW housing comes from SWTOR, ESO, Rift and EQ.
Blizzard learning is just a matter of watching and copying.
Second Life had housing shortly after it came out in 2004. Odds are it is better than most other systems.
I loved and still love the old Star Wars Galaxies housing system, small house had like 250 points, medium houses had 500 points and large houses were like 1000 points, you could put stuff anywhere in your house.
That sure is a nice way of saying the game is rather outdated and limited.
