This is getting out of hand. This price is not including state taxes which add on top of that. I remember the days when the CE boxes were less than half of the cost of this. And I do have every single CE box for this game, even though I do not play Retail. I do not really see anything that special in the box, and I could really do without the statue.

The last CE I bought from anyone was FF XIV’s Endwalker Collector’s Box. They shipped the statue to me broken into several pieces, and then had the audacity to take a few months to send me a new and unbroken one. Thanks to them, I never buy CEs from anyone anymore. This one looks cool though, I can’t deny that. I still feel like it’s lacking…something though.
How long does the pre-order will last before they go “out of stock”? Serious question.

Dragonflight Epic Edition CE box was $130 + $7 shipping
Diablo IV CE box was $97 + $20 shipping
I really can’t remember that far back, but I think the original CE boxes were about $69 and you could buy them in-store, so didn’t have to pay for that as well.
I did get this one, but it’s really not worth it imho, I just didn’t want it missing from the shelf

Since I already have the Epic edition paid for, just give me the option of buying the statue separately.

They could’ve charged double that and I still would’ve gotten it because of my stupid OCD brain demanding to finish the entire set on my shelves. I was hoping for something a little special for this anniversary, but it’s just the same old dumb stuff. Ah, whatever.

Yeah, I remember buying my MoP CE from my local Gamestop at the time.
Ahh, I remember that place and being directed by my then younger sons (tweens) on what to purchase. Playing myself wasn’t even on my radar.
I don’t remember which game or what an expansion was, but I do remember catching a price difference and asking what the difference was. The answer seemed kind of silly, and since I had to buy two I told them the less expensive one was just fine. Then came the, “but mahhomm!” And suddenly them looking like to helpless 5 year olds! Lol! Yeah, I capitulated! But will forever remember Gamestop, and multiple visits there - especially first day, get there in hurry days! lol

This goes for everyone including the players across the pond. The collector’s aren’t sold in stores anymore because the games are primarily switching to digital only copies. Hence most of the U.S. stores putting clearance stickers on their physical games. Yes, I agree with being able to just buy the statue by itself, they did that with Diablo 4 and their collectors. Blizzard is just following suit with other companies. Ubisoft does it with their games. Yeah we all know we have that ocd nature to make sure there is not a gap on the shelf with all the other collector’s editions we own but yeah 215.99 with tax and shipping is getting up there from the days of 69.99. I also think physical collector’s should get more traders tender or the same pet just a different color variant. In all reality you are really paying an extra 90 for the statue a pin and collectors book.
Generations of profiteering off shoddy “workmanship” and feckless spending by idiots has given rise to awful quality at a higher price.

I don’t understand why they don’t paint the statues in accurate colors. The bronze dingy look is absolutely horrid. I gave Ragnaros away to my buddy because the look was so hideous. I love the dwarven gryphonrider, but the color of the statue looks like garbage.
It says a lot about me that I’m only bothered by the fact that they don’t offer free shipping. I’m too used to getting it everywhere else I buy stuff online, and it just feels cheap for Blizz to not offer it.
