World of Warcraft Sylvanas book (specific below)

Does it change your view / perspective about Shadowlands after reading the book or it doesn’t change your view but does it improve on how you view the narrative after reading it and understanding it?

A chunk of its revelations should have been in game.

No, kinda just makes me upset that this is the direction we’re going.

Sylvanas wrote a book?

That’s odd. She didn’t appear to be the literary type.

Haven’t read it, and I don’t know if I will. I purchased one of the older books and it was definitely a children’s book. I don’t personally have a lot of faith in the writing for the game or books.

What direction does the book set up? I might not read it but I am curious where the game is going.

Imagine if you went to go see a movie-- an original one, not based on previous content-- and it just made NO DARNED SENSE.

And someone nearby hears you complaining about it and says “oh but the director is releasing a book that explains everything about the movie that doesn’t make sense.”

That’s how I feel.

I just want Blizz to stop using the in game story as the trailer for a book. I’m paying to play the game, give me the full story that way.

Yes. Making fun of people who like to read about things they like is weird and cringe.

Considering how many games also sell their soundtrack, this is a weird question.

Oh wow you learn something new everyday.

I refuse to read it.
A. Golden is a sh!te author, on par with high school kids;
B. The important narrative bits should have been in the g-d game.

She’s the Banshee Queen. No one better placed to acquire a ghost writer.

And the fact all of the CEs have come with the Soundtrack as a selling point.

The Sylvanas of the book and the Sylvanas in game feel like very different characters.

Not reading the book because I really don’t care about the lich queen and I don’t care to give blizzard any more money than my sub right now until they clean house of corruption from the top down.

This is upsetting…
Thrall standing behind her ,
I though … Well it was just a tree
The Crown of Wills
Quest accepted
Realty’s Doorstep

The king of Stormwind and my lady together…
Thrall’s the best man

Edit…
He did nothing. Just stood there

Recalabrating robot chickens …

My view based on the whole thing.

The details behind the deal with the Jailer should have been in game and didn’t need a novel for that one section. Having just one quest where they, idk, just talk about it or at least have us go with Uther inside of Sylvanas’ psyche as an in-between quest after the Sanctum raid would have done the job.

Everything else wasn’t really needed? It wasn’t a great sin to wow, but the only important part was the deal with Zooval, which was the driving force behind all of this.

It made me like her more. I wish it could have been longer.

But no, SL is still a weird expac.

Well if you change your mind it’s free with an audible trial.

They just explain a bunch of stuff that should have been set up in the start and don’t explain a bunch of giant plot holes. I like how it’s written but just hate what it implies for certain plotlines, I’d just recommend you read it in a barnes and noble for free or something lol.
