Looks terrible and obviously fake.
I mean, I would love a Death (as in the cosmic domain, and all things Undead) themed xpack again, so the Shadowlands would be fantastic.
But…
I don’t have a lot of hope that “leak” is real.
Leaks this early are basically fake by default, but this:
makes it clear to me that it’s all made up. Why would they voluntarily get rid of a steady revenue of race changes to turn allied races into base customization options?

Sounds awful to me. Basically the only good thing is Tinker and that’s in every leak anyway.

Don’t believe any leak you see more than 1-2 days away from Blizzcon. All “leaks” do this far out is generate easy content for youtubers.

I’d like a revamp of most of the zones (expansions) but I don’t wanna have to level up any more characters. If they made it where either I de-level for the zone or everything matches my current level, that would be a good thing.
I just don’t see a revamp based on just new players and/or characters, at this point in the game’s life.
Sylvy better belt out ‘See Me, Feel Me/Listening To You’ when she shows that she was doing it all for us.
I mean, they literally created new customization options to use for promotional art and the character creation UI, and then never actually implemented any of them, and it’s a safe bet that they will NEVER add any of these customization options to the actual game at any point ever (they’ve even recently said that they have no plans to add new customization options for base races IIRC).
I don’t even get it. I’m guessing that they originally planned on adding new customization options for the base races in 8.0.1, but then they decided to scrap that idea and instead implement Allied Races where they recycled some of the customization options they created for the base races.
Also can’t stress enough that this has reminded me of one of the biggest pet peeves I’ve had with BfA.
WHAT HAPPENED TO ALL OF THOSE NEW CUSTOMIZATION OPTIONS TEASED FROM THE 7.3 CASTER ANIMATIONS PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS AND THE UPDATED CHARACTER CREATION RACE ICONS!!!
Why show any new customization options at all if they were never going to be added in the first place?
I watched a video of his the other day and I swear he takes some serious leaps from one thing to the next to come up with his lore theories.

You know, after first hearing about this ‘leak’ I hated the idea. But once you mentioned these I started to grow on the idea of this being an actual expansion.
Transmogs that change depending on what form your in? Sign me up.
Good because Alliance needs to be a villain for once with how many times the Horde has been put into that light. I want to question what the hell my character is doing.
Graphic updates are always loved, plus new questlines and stories.
Now no one can complain about faction imbalances in raiding.
Can we have our city back as well, please? 
Invasions on every zone at random. Naga’s attack Feralas, Quilboar raiding the barrens, Amani Trolls rampaging across the Ghost Lands. Get to it Blizzard. 
Also, the building system in mechagon is great, should be brought back.

This has been desperately needed. Ji and Aysa have been sitting on the boats for too long doing nothing.
This last one because I think Blightcaller can be a really cool character once Sylvanas is out of the picture. He could fit the role of a really good anti-hero character. We see that even he was a bit shocked by Sylvanas’s actions during the Burning of Teldressil cinematic where he does a double take on her order to burn the city. I’d love to see a conflicted Nathanos in the future coming to terms with what he has done, and try to go on a path of redemption; albeit his own way.

This would feel corny.
Not that big a deal, but I personally never found the Ethereals that interesting. Their story is pretty much the same as the Draenei’s except with Void instead of the burning legion.
Tinker class is all good and fun, but I feel more races could have tinker. Dwarves for example could fit into this, as well as Mag’har Orcs since they come from the same world as the Iron Horde.
I dislike lore retcons for obvious reasons. Unless he gives a good reason as too why he lied, it won’t be believable.
The one Pandaren Death Knight was cool and fun, but having thousands of Pandaren DK’s all of assuden seems a bit much. Unless the DK’s go on a big recruitment drive by raising the dead from the recent war and pretty much all races that don’t already have DK get it + the DK starting zone is changed to fit that theme, it’s going to be a no for me.
I understand that the shock value gets annoying after a while, and I totally agree that story development and engagement are needed. But, I also think that the shock value in WoW really makes the epic scenes of the game really pop.
It would be cool if they could somehow encorporate a way you can make your WoW character a hero in Warcraft 4 if they ever put it out. Have each class have its own hero class, and then one spell from each spec for each of the abilities, with the last one being something iconic for that class.
Cinematic department needs to get on this and make an animated series already.

Scryers vs Aldor system, but the choice determines your side in war mode. In terms of problems that are conceptually difficult to solve, “how to revamp wpvp to make it work without Alliance/Horde faction lines” is easy as hell.

There is no way any of that happens. Activision is not going to let Blizzard spend that amount of money on WOW anymore. IF for some reason they do, then 9.0 will be the very end of WOW and no other expansions will be developed.
Likely we will just get a gimped copy paste of BFA with more generic tropes thrown in and a Big bad that no one really cares about .
I do expect a massive shake up in the devs as most either leave for greener pastures or are let go

actually there was a leak about BfA and the allied races we were getting in 7.3.5 on mmochamp 3 weeks before blizzcon that year. They were right about the “subraces” they were right about the pre-patch and they were basically right about BfA given the information they had that they could leak at the time.
There are definitely real leaks out there and the shadowlands picture is very high quality bait if that isnt a real leak.
