You donât really present anything new as a threat story wise let alone a class or race for us to earn. Youâve shrouded everything in shadows and got us playing guessing games again.

gj. put the Lich King on the thumbnail because you know people wonât click it otherwise. If Sylvanas was the thumbnail nobody would watch it.
that should tell you something about how much people cant stand her character.

Itâs the first wow cinematic that doesnât make me want to buy it.
Iâm sorry. Iâm fond of the Warcraftâs lore⌠But Sylvannas has become an atrocity. I feel like Iâm watching a bad anime.

What do I think?
Itâs the weakest expansion trailer ever released.
Itâs the first one that ever failed to get me hyped for an expansion. The last two were particularly amazing and this one pales by far in comparison. There is no emotion associated with it. I felt for Varian, Anduin and Sylvanas in those previous cinematics. I identified with the soldiers surrounding them. This cinematic? I canât associate with Sylvanas or Bolvar. You made the Lich King look like a chump. The fight was not epic. And all we saw of Sylvanas was the same olâ walk and the same olâ smirk. It felt hollow.
The cinematic should not have been about Sylvanas. You want me hyped for the next expansion, show small details and tidbits of the Shadowlands to excite me. Build up some mysterious atmosphere about where weâre going and why. Donât just walk Sylvanas out yet again. Sheâs not that interesting anymore. Youâve overdone her literally to death.

I think Sylvanas has become the new Medâan and needs to be offed as soon as possible - and I used to like her. Cinematic was pretty but equally as ridiculous.

Cool cinematic but Lich King bested with ease, tired of her empowerment and this may very well be the first time since release I will not buy the new expansion. Thank goodness for classic.

Good fights have tension, invincible heros are boring without weaknesses, add in some weaknesses to Sylvannas or a person hellbent on destroying her with say, antibanshee-deathnanium.
Cinematic was great but you kinda low balled the Lich king too much.
If she barely beat him with luck it would have been better

I think you shouldâve given us some information about Slyvanas ahead of this trailer. Just seeing her waltz in and beat Bolvar like he was nothing is kind of ridiculous. She got beat by Malfurion at the start of BFA and I refuse to believe that Malfurion couldâve one shot the Lich King. You need to do Sylvanas like you did Gulâdan and have her killed off in the first raid of the xpac because otherwise people are going to get even more exhausted of her character and your writing surrounding her. Just remember how your game turned out the last time you had an ex-warchief go rogue two expansions in a row.

No, it was plot the first time it happened with Saurfang. Now its just repetitive Sylvanas canât be beat garbage

It looks like Bolvar has the runes that are on Frostmourne on his head.
The explanation for why Sylvanas is so powerful isnât given in-game or in the cinematic. Itâs only given by Ion on-stage talking about it afterwards. Because of that, Sylvanasâ power level doesnât feel earned or logical, and it just looks like fan-service for Sylvanas fanboys.
There needs to be another entire part of the cinematic at the beginning where Jaina, Khadgar, Thalyssra, and Lorâthemar are pooling their library resources, trying to figure out where Sylvanas new abilities came from. This should lead them to realise something is severely wrong with the Shadowlands and that Sylvanas is drawing on a power no one in the living plane should ever have access to. Something world-shaking.
THEN play this. It would give the fight tension, suspense, and an internal logic it is currently missing.

I want to like this, but everything about this cinematic is falling into the same power peak trap that diablo 3 was stuck with. Why does everything always have to be more sensationalised to the point where a single person can just cream the LK lore and literally tear it apart? And for what? To demonstrate hey man the source of her power is total badass. This is the power trap, characters are propped up as powerful entities from previous expacs in order to create a perception of future threat that is completely over the top and ridiculous. Its really quite boring and predictable, but this trap started many expacs ago to appease the fanatical out there that want to become demigods. This is why Classic rocks, your character is literally just an adventurer, not some titan infused god killer.
You want to squash back to 60, make the cinematic where power is withdrawn, not escalated.
In contrast, the Diablo 4 cinematic is a breath of fresh air specifically because it doesnât up the anti with an even bigger super demon or angel. There is alot of interesting things you can do with Lilith without making them as ridiculous as Sylvanas.
Cool. It makes me excited for the xpack. Itâs something Iâm feeling for WoW now for the first time in probably over a year.
The announced changes to things like the new legendary system that isnât based on RNG, gearing that wonât be titanforging with crappy RNG and ruining loot progression, removing some of the over pruning that was done, and removing some of those endless grinds⌠make it sound even better.
If you guys would reverse course on the mess you made of flight by making it delay a damned year each xpack, you might well be on course for the best xpack since Wrath. Please donât mess it up.
Why do you waste time on this crap? Never matches what happens in game anyways. I play the game with everything disabled, as I came to PLAY the game, not watch lame cinematics.
Please spend time fixing the game
