World of Warcraft: Shadowlands Cinematic Trailer

When did D&D start writing for WoW?

Didn’t intend to discount what you’d said; only meant to show that the Scourge was created after the helm. Your logical conclusion is correct, but the helm was created to give power over Death magic which is a bit broader of a purpose.

Cancelled on Oct 8 and expired on Oct 13th but i can still post.

I think it was a travesty, is what I think. And the most stupid mary sue thing I’ve seen in wow for a very long time.

I really liked it for a number of reasons.

  1. Don’t want Lich King 2.0 and eventually the helmet would have corrupted Bolvar. Now that won’t happen. Bolvar is still a bit of a wild card and that’s good. Though I am curious how he will still have the power to raise Death Knights with the helmet gone.

  2. Many are angry over Sylvanas being able to beat “the Lich King” so easily but most of Arthas power came from Frostmourne not the helmet so it makes sense because…

  3. We have NO idea what this chained Death is that she serves nor how much power it has given to Sylvanas. But her being able to do what she did indicates this being is beyond a force to be reckoned with and one of the most powerful beings in the Warcraft universe.

  4. Even the Void Lords are afraid of this Death entity and that’s saying something so I am really anxious to see what it is.

Now, why didn’t you introduce a Necromancer class for us? A death themed expansion and no Necromancers? For real? Ugh man.

I think that is part of the story and we will find out… It’s suppose dot be a mystery

Amazing!! Sylvanas in excellent form! I believe I’ll be prepurchasing, tyvm. :scream_cat:

I was excited for Bolvar and got Sylvanas.

On the plus side it looks like she is going to be one of the villains of the expansion. Better get to kill her if she gets a redemption its pitchforks and torches at blizzard headquarters.

with all that I did enjoy the cinematic

Loved it. You guys are putting some serious effort into making the game interesting from a lore perspective.

Ah, yeah, bit more than just keeping Ner’zhul in check, sorry for the misunderstanding

But yeah the reveal just kinda left me baffled

The cinematography was good, but the content itself is dissatisfying.
There’s barely any dialogue at all, we need an explanation as to where Sylvanas got the power to win that fight, oh and how about the old ‘there must always be a Lich King’, that we had back in Wrath, I’m going to go ahead and predict that the scourge will just end up being a tiny footnote against whatever threat we face next xpac, or just have one small throwaway quest arc. Honestly it’s really disappointing, Sylvanas’s character arc has just been her doing terrible things and getting away free because she’s doing it for ‘reasons’ when anyone who can think can just see that she’s trying to secure immortality for herself no matter who gets hurt.

So I was not the only one who received Neverwinter vibes after seeing the trailer for the next expansion.

Unless Sargy reveals she identifies as a female.

AMAZING!!! Cant wait!

Poorly presented plot hook, then.

Giving this expac a hard pass, I’ll stick to Classic.

I’m not intrigued, just perturbed. Nobody she interacts with seems to question that she’s become OP.

BfA trailer - she rekt a siege tower. Everyone carries on.

Saurfang cinematic - she rekt Green Grumpy without a scratch. Most we got were a couple of characters wondering what magic she used.

Shadowlands trailer - she rekt Bolvar and all he said was don’t put on the helmet.

The characters seem to accept that she’s OP as if they expect it.
