Through Sept. 22, 2025, receive a World of Warcraft Scruffyhorn Fel Snooter Pet with an eligible World of Warcraft purchase of $75 or more. Excludes taxes, shipping, handling, and other non-product charges.
Really Blizz? You want us to go spend more money then what we pay for an expansion for a pet you normally sell in the game shop for $10? NO!
I’d pay for the pet by itself with the usual price tag… but I balk at purchasing $75 worth of stuff I don’t want or need, and that no one I know wants or needs, just to get the pet as a free “gift with purchase.”
And it also sucks that they’ve added extra FOMO with such a short timeframe in which to take advantage of this “deal.”
It’s a shame, really. But I didn’t buy the Steel Series peripherals for the cosmetic goodies either. I’m a diehard collector, sure, but even I have limits. This promotion just feels bad.
I bought a few things off the store a few days ago. Hoping that I can either cancel my order and reorder it to get this or maybe I can get a few days grace period and get the code. Cute pet.
Let’s look at the facts:
The promotion focuses on the new pet, and offers a rather limited time frame in which to obtain it.
This is a promotion aimed at collectors by dangling the pet as bait in order to sell $75 worth of standard Blizzard gear.
No one needs it, but Blizzard is extremely skilled at offering cosmetic bait attached to physical items as a way of shilling their merchandise to those who’d otherwise be uninterested. And of course we have no idea if/how/when it’ll be available again. For some, that’s indeed a temptation.
I suggest you save the paper bag and stick it over your own head so you don’t have to see this discussion.
and the possibility of it becoming available via some other means in the future?
$75, and you get some real world stuff.
versus just forking out on some pixels?
doesn’t seem unreasonable, especially when you’d just fork out for the pixels if it was sold as a store pet.
