Ya know what?
I am so tired of hearing all you haters QQing about everything that is wrong and all the hate that gets spread because of it. If it’s that bad to you LOG OFF!
I am sick and tired of all the hate that gets spread on YouTube by various content creators who are doing nothing but hating on something to boost their views. I am over it. I have been playing this game for 17 years now. Have I liked all the things that Blizzard has done? No, but have I endlessly whinged and wined about it like a petulant child? No. I don’t have to, because you haters/cry babies do it for all of us.
Spread your hatred elsewhere. After 17 years, I am done listening to you all bicker and complain about something that YOU still come back to but still love to complain about.
Keep going Blizzard…ignore these petty children who are expecting you to give in to ALL their tantrums!
It’s a game!!! GROW UP

But what if the undead was actually a Worgen Druid in life or a Troll Shaman? Once resurrected they lose their powers and get given an axe to smack things with instead?
I don’t know, where there’s a will there’s a story to tell and therefore a way.
So as a worgen, they can’t be raised as a forsaken. That’s canon lore. It’s part of the silverpine forest storyline.
I’m not sure how the shaman magics work exactly but yeah the impression I got was that either they become unable to access that magic or it’s incredibly difficult for them to use. But whatever otherworldly magics the forsaken/undead have animating them, it doesn’t seem like it’s on speaking terms with the emerald dream.
I can see that making sense See you in the Dragon Isles!

Looks promising. Keep the good news coming.
Also an update on 9.3 wouldn’t hurt. Raid+ is cool and all for organized raiders - but what’s there for the rest of us to stick around for?

This looks incredible! Great work, Team 2. Keep it up. Can’t wait for Dragonflight!
So can we get an undead frostwyrm flying dragon? Is the Black dragonflight present for us edgelords?
Will NOBODY think of the edge??

Wondering if the new crafting system will be able to produce gear that’s not completely obsolete after the first heroic dungeon release.
Crafters should be able to make gear (with suitable difficulty) that’s competitive with normal raid gear at least, without having to run the raids for materials.

Why did the cinematic make me cry when they came through the portal? I’m so excited for this expansion & am so glad Blizzard has a good dev team again. Only thing missing is player housing!!!
While leveling, I’ll pick whatever talents look beneficial to me, but at max level, I’ll just go off to Wowhead or Icy Veins to get the best build for my class, then forget about them.

I agree.
This expansion seems lazy. We’ve been sitting in the Shadow lands where time, from what I remember of the story (haven’t played in 8 months) implied time moved differently. We’ve other examples of time being able to move differently depending on the plane of existence-why couldn’t our time in the Shadow lands have caused a thousand years to pass on Azeroth. Where the entire make up the world has changed, where we were no longer the legendary Champion and instead in the real world we’re just a fairy tale that barely matches what we really did. We could have gone back to being a “nobody” in a new world we didn’t recognize, with whole new factions (I personally wanted the factions to be race based, no more alliance and horde but instead a fragile peace between all the species that had whole new cultures, rulers, values grown from where those were when left to the Shadow lands). They could have completely reset the world into a Azeroth 2.0 that we know nothing about and get to explore all over again like we did when Wow first launched. They could have still given us the Dragonlands…and we get find out the history that passed while we were gone.
We’d have been back to being nobodies who have to relearn the world and rebuild our reputations. They could solve a lot of the inconsistencies from the past expansion with one off quests, or even while quests lines to learn how the world survived Sargaras kebabing the world and other things. Heck with Chrome we could learn what happens in 2 minute cut scenes.
And they could have completely rebuilt wow on a new engine rather than having the peicemeal thing with contrary code.
Instead, we get a half arsed dragon theme and no answers for storyline that have been abandoned by writers, and a copy pasted mount system from another game.
The only thing I’m excited about is the talent and crafting changes. The rest of it is just continued disappointment.

I’m surprisingly pretty hyped by what I’m seeing. I thought Shadowlands would be my last expansion. I hated almost every decision they made and thought it a complete waste of player’s money and developer’s time. And I still feel that way about it even though I thought maybe it would improve.
Dragonflight feels like an introduction to me. There’s not clear story idea other than the dragons regaining their power that was stupidly just lost. The zones look wonderful. The crafting ideas look good. The talent trees look like something I could finally play with. And it seems there’s going to be actual lore that connects to Azeroth for a change. So I’m pretty hyped on this introduction.
I expect we’ll learn more about the finer details later and that this expansion is a good ways off which I hate but understand due to the utter wastehole Shadowlands turned out to be. Heck, I think there’s still a chance for housing just not introduced yet. And of course this could all be a trainwreck with a great introduction. This is just the teaser of what’s coming so we don’t have everything yet.
I’m excited to explore these zones. I love the griffin in GW2 (I just don’t care for the game) so I like that even. I am partial to flying as we always have but if this is more fun than annoying I’m fine with it. What I’d really like to see is more patches for this expansion. Maybe five like FFXIV with the first three staying with the Dragon Isles but maybe 10.4 deals with the rebuilding efforts in other parts of Azeroth and 10.5 could be starting to deal with the sword which hints of 11.0 so we actually get our money’s worth for a change.
Its a good intro but Blizzard really needs to deal with all aspects of how they do the expansion itself as well as its patches. This is a subscription based game. Its time you start delivery a game based on a subscription and not an expansion payout with barren wastes for two years of shallow half hearted efforts at content.

I sure hope so as I am sick of having to grind and go through gated hoops just to fly every darn expansion. Just leave it alone already and let as fly.

they mentioned in the deep dive that swapping talents will be free and available at any time, just like now. they are also adding an option to save multiple spec profiles and swap betweent them, too.
Same with the UI, it will save configurations per spec.
Well said. I think it’s time that MMOs look to GaaS model and actually do content updates throughout the year. It’s probably easier to change one big BR map from time to time than update an entire MMO, but it seems like every expansion fractures existing content further. One of the things I DID like about Shadowlands was shuffling the 1-50 questing into separate chapters the player could choose to play all the way through instead of having to hop and skip between regions/expansions.
I hope so man… but never forget they added conduit energy like a week before SL launched for no reason.
we have to be vocal about this and keep them to their word.

I do love your story ideas! I was hoping for a “reset” as well! With the Dragon stuff, it’s a wasted opportunity to “rediscover” Azeroth through the eyes of the Dragons/new players/players returning from Shadowlands.
I would like for older cosmetics, such as previous Rated sets and mounts, to be available again. I do not like it when cosmetics are time gated. Just make them cost a lot, still need certain ratings, and alter their name with the addition of ‘Replica’ to honor those who earned the originals during their respective seasons. Please and thank you!
