I’m also jaded about it since Blizzard’s been really bad about talking to the community in recent years.
That’s why the human posting in blue text said:
Key words being:
November 3 - so after the announcements i guess, since they also said
on the latest WoW - so basically, about the new expac!
BUT… we wouldn’t want you to wait, so i’ll try answering for them!
Most likely not, there was already a reforge of it with Shadowmourne, no use doing 2 reforges on the same weapon. Sorry but it’s the rules.
Question, based on bluepost from Jan 6th 2023:
- Will we ever see any impactful changes to the way rated solo shuffle healer MMR works?
Healing isn’t an easy role, there’s a steep learning curve, high ramping dampening, and 4 DPS who will eat you alive for any (perceived) mistake. One idea is to have 3-3 games (and anything better) never mean a loss of MMR/Rating. That way healers would queue more, and decrease the gap in rating between DPS & Healers, as well as lowering the queue timer. Going 3-3 in the end means that you were able to keep up, there’s only so much a healer can do when f.e. a DPS goes 0-6.
Plus there’s the Blades of the Fallen Prince (Frost DK Legion Artifact) that was forged from the broken shards of Frostmourne.
So… 3rd time will NOT be the charm!
I know people are looking at a non live Q&A as a negative thing. Look at it this way though, this allows for a broader array of questions from more people than the live Q&A would.
I just hope it’s not some 5 to 10 minute quick fire of answering questions. My feeling is it won’t be but the fear is there.
You guys new to their Q&As? Even when they did them live before they were pre-screened.
Can Fury get some single target buffs? I’ll give you all a bag of Halloween candy for it.
Shadowmourne was obviously based on Frostmourne, but the two are actually entirely disconnected. Shadowmourne is made from Arthas’s discarded hammer, of all things.
It’s generally accepted that “Shadowmourne” was only added, because Warriors vastly preferred Axes during Wrath (due to some talent choices), which is why there are so many Strength Axes but only a few Strength Swords.
The actual shards of Frostmourne were made into the “Blades of the Fallen Prince” 1handers in Legion, which was not well received. They’d cut 2hand Frost entirely to do so.
But come Shadowlands, they came out with a post referring to the “echoes of Frostmourne”, announcing the return of 2hand Frost. So, the weapon is obviously still associated with 2hand Frost, despite not having been available as an Artifact.
Considering it has been made abundantly clear that there is zero intention of ever doing anything with Arthas (which is odd, considering he’s still clearly still a fan-favorite character), I feel like it’s time, they should allow DK’s to finally acquire Frostmourne, again, even if it’s only as a transmog option.
Personally? I would’ve loved for it to have been a Legendary during Shadowlands, as it would have been entirely relevant, and would have really hyped players up. They could still do something like that with it, either having Darion Mograine use knowledge he gained from his time in the Shadowlands, or even something with the Bronze/Infinite Dragonflights.
Unfortunately Halloween will be over by then. You’d be giving them all the uneaten leftovers, and that’s just rude.
They aren’t leftovers. And Halloween candy stays around for a bit.
Shaman tanking spec when?
One of the worst mistakes they could have made… Arthas had history and they decided to shoot themselves in the foot by making him “poof”, instead of using the history for future plot points, along with him ofc.
Because Shadowlands wasn’t a hit and miss… it was a miss and miss.
The previous chance for recrafting it was in Legion though.
A while back y’all gave a skip in Siege of Ogrimmar to final boss will we see more skips like these for older raid content / dungeon content for faster farming ? Icecrown Citadel skip to the Lich King’s throne should benefit from this as well as Throne of Thunder, and other raids that didn’t have skips till later.
Staph asking questions here, you’ll waste them, ask them when they open the question threads next Friday on the 3rd of November.
Wow, they’re so afraid of live questions they’ll only take pre-screened, softball questions like “lol what’s your favourite pet” and “what’s your favourite mount”.
Blizzard are nothing like they were years ago.
Of course, anytime they say anything, everyone treats it like gospel, even when it’s clearly intended as a joke or in no way a definite fact of things to come. Even blue posts here have people raging about stuff every time, and it could just be a prime giveaway announcement.
Giving in the moment responses to this community would be an absolute nightmare to deal with.
EH. Some kid yelling about Taiwan even though nobody was stopping him from yelling about Taiwan was the equivalent of forum posters imploring everyone to “think of new and returning players!”. Which is to say, it had very little impact.
Prescreened still allowed for surprise moments like red shirt guy. Live Q&A required real time interaction with the playerbase as well as answering and communicating on their feet.
This will eliminate all of that and be a predrafted “Q&A,” with questions that probably don’t even come from the players.
