World of Warcraft Post-BlizzCon Q&A

I always thought their responses were entirely predictable. They passed over questions everyone wanted to hear about and mostly responded to questions that nobody had much interest in, to the extent that there was suspicion those questions were plants. And the entire production was a sham.

Maybe, and also they may be able to spend more time with them, more questions and more in depth answers vs the time they were allowed at Blizzcon in the past.

The kids these days are up to what now?

Will we ever see another Warcraft tabletop rpg or a book diving into the culture of the citizens of Azeroth, and how their daily lives interact with the constant change in leadership or reveals of new places almost every year or how much a local citizen makes compared to how much adaventurers make.

Recently a trend has been people rushing on stage or sneaking into groups with developers for a chance of internet fame.

It happened specifically last year when Elden Ring won game of the year at the game awards, and has happened at other conventions and shows. Its raised a question of security, especially with news with how some, “fans” will go to extreme lengths to interact with developers.

Better watch out, those kids might be considering becoming politically active.

So why are you not updating Garrison’s monuments so they work? Also why won’t y’all make garrisons relevant on current content? Lastly please don’t make dragonriding a thing in upcoming expansions. It’s horrible and makes farming aggravating. Can y’all just make regular flying faster like 300-400%?

Blizzard going full on Steven Seagal Safe space mode.

Watch. They will skim over mine about Garrisons like that have done for the past 7 years.

Goodness. That’s wild.

I never really thought about what sort of security they have at conventions but I did kind of assume there would at least be a handful of big, beefy guys in sunglasses blocking the stage. You know, like at a rock concert.

I really hope companies don’t skimp on security for their dev’s as a cost saving measure, but I wouldn’t be surprised sadly.

Wait… there’s going to be a bonfire at Blizzcon?? That’s wicked sick!

This makes me feel like Blizzard knows the reception to the 11.0 reveal is gonna be horrible and are trying to play damage control which is more than likely gonna blow up in their face.

lol what??

Live Q&A can be dangerous depending on who is asking the question and what question they ask. This also removes the possibility of a dev speaking out of turn or setting false expectations, which you know the WoW community will take anything and run a marathon with. (“Are we gonna get player housing?” → Maybe one day! → “ION CONFIRMS PLAYER HOUSING NOT CLICKBAIT” YT videos → We don’t ever get it and people get mad → “WELL ION SAID IN THAT LIVE Q&A!!!”) It gives them the opportunity to view more questions from a broader audience, answer questions thoughtfully, and take questions back to internal reviews for experience improvement. Viewing this as “oh well the game must be BAD and they KNOW that” is … wild, child lol.

Except anyone who has been around is going to know that Blizzard won’t do any of this and will opt for the cookie-cutter, easy to answer questions that will ultimately answer barely anything or nothing at all.

Don’t worry Blizz, i can handle these.

No, i mean perhaps, depends if we run out of ideas for the Trading Post.

Definitely! maybe, if needed.

I hope these answers are what you were looking for.

Tbf, the forum thread to ask questions won’t be up until Friday, Nov. 3.

100% agree with you that they’re going to take the soft questions and answer accordingly at Blizzcon - that’s very predictable

100% disagree that they “won’t do any of this”

Kind of hard to ask any questions, when we don’t know what’s actually even being announced.

And since the forums seem fairly bereft of interaction for more unimportant topics, it does make me question what purpose a Q&A will really serve…

But hey, I guess I’ll ask anyways:

Is there any chance Death Knights would be able to reforged Frostmourne, or at least unlock it as a transmog option?
