if you want to see a prime example of bad ownership who only cares about money
GO look at the Toronto Maple Leafs history, More specifically, the 80’s and the bulk of the 00’s.
A company that was literally putting the worst product in the Arena because they knew they’d sell out 100% of the time. Horrible years of bad play, bad players and horrible management/coaching. But the head company was raking in profits so legit didn’t care to change.
the Leaf’s of the 00’s ONLY changed when new owners came in who wanted to win. (still havent won, but a good team finally)
Blizzard feels like the Leaf’s of the 00’s. they’re going through the effort knowing they’ll still make money even if they don’t put a lot of effort in. it’s min/maxing and they’re doing the bare minimum development work to keep revenues.
