World of Warcraft is Sad

You are just bored with the game. Move on. I think there are people who are truly enjoying the patch and if you are not, it’s fine to move on.

The only reason I ain’t playing TBC is because I already played it and earned what TBC had to offer.

I’m talking about current content. Not content that’s been released for years.

At least it’s an option in TBC. All you really have is what? Rares and WQ in retail?

Indeed. That’s why I started Therapy and Mood Stabilizers.

I am bored with the game. I do want to move on and I’ve tried. FF14 isn’t for me. We’ve had this same gameplay loop since Legion and it’s boring now. Every time they conduct an interview it’s “we hear player feed back. We do… so to combat the stuff the players don’t like, we’re going to add more of that same stuff under a new name and hope it sticks.”

Pinar is mocking everyone who isn’t willing to post that the game is fantastic.

I know you are bored. I have been there before, I took a break from BFA, not because of the content but because nothing seemed interesting to me, not the raids or dungeons and everything seem like a waste of time. It’s called burnout. You have to step back and go to another game, the feeling you are missing will return.

Ever since Sunwell, patches have the same formula : a storyline, sometimes a new zone and dungeon and finally a new raid. Nothing has really changed other than what skin it wears and what intricacy it brings. There hasn’t been really anything innovative. To its core, it’s always those 4 features.

I think if you can’t find any fun on those 4 features then it might be time to move on. The game has been out for more than a decade, your brain gets bored of the same things - it craves something new, I don’t think WoW can offer that other than a new expansion.

You know what makes it fun though? People. If you find a good guild, a group of people you enjoy playing with. Even watching paint dry can be fun. I think that’s a key element a lot of people are missing.

Oh. I didn’t realize that post was sarcasm. I thought he/she was serious.

I expected nothing less from Blizzard.

My FPS has been utter dog crap since 9.1 launched and I’ve got a 1080ti as well

I’m talking about current content too! There’s a lot of armour/weapon/toy/achievements you can get in Shadowlands. But even as you say if you have had enough of that you can go back too! (Trying to get that visions mount)

Achievements/farming mobs for archivist rep/getting the BoE stygia sets for each class/working on your sanctum if you haven’t already. With anima being more accessible also you can go for the 4 sets of the covenant for each armour type if you want to also.

Yes I think 9.1 has messed with a few of the older cards. No change on the 3070 machine but my AMD Vega GH is having a much harder time. Running it on 4 now as compared to 7.

I spent a Saturday afternoon grinding out Rep to get a neat mount (Goblin Turbo Trike) and found a dungeon near Black Temple that gave the Rep. Ran that dungeon about 20 times to get Exalted and bought the mount.

It was actually fun and I felt a great deal of satisfaction after doing it.

There is nothing in the current expansion or its patch that can give me that feeling.

All I got from rolling 9 different characters thru that mess was “ok that’s done…now what” kind of feeling. It took forever.

BTW last Sunday I deleted all 9 of my level 60’s.

Found a new low pop RP realm and the game is fun again.

9.1 is horrendously unoptimized. I was dropping from 145 fps to 30 in Korthia when people started lighting up rare spawns. GTX1080. Can run cyberpunk on ultra but 15 year old game naw.

Also, there literally aren’t any dungeons near Black Temple.

I think some of their stuff is honestly clashing. They refuse to update from their engine, and though I’m sure they’ve tried to update the engine itself, you can see the stages of the game by going from older zones to newer ones. Hell, just go from SW to Boralus.

But that’s kinda standard for them–the lack of optimization. WoW eats more processor power than a number of other games on my pc combined lol

Granted, I will say that currently I’m running a Ryzen 9 and an rtx 3070. I can run WoW twice without much FPS lag. I do think it helps combat Blizzards lack of optimizing if you have the higher end PC’s, but it’s a bandaid really in context and isn’t entirely perfect.

I was thinking of dropping out the game in BFA all the stuff they said would not do again from WOD & LEGION they did it again. The Unending Grinds / The Making of Classes Where No Want Play Because no one wants them in raids or mythics. The never ending revamping of classes / gear / dungeons. The Glitches and Bugs the player tell them they need to fix never get fixed. But they fix bug in gear or class that breaking game play. The Lumping of players all in the same ZONE at same time. The Cross Server Stuff Has Hurt More Than Help. The game is more of a JOB than being a fun game. Take all day to do quests because of all the Toxic Players / That Drop Mobs on top of you / Or Grab all the mobs and kill them before you can get a tag on / Then Brag and Laugh they just did it.

Blizzard need to fix the game some of the top WOW youtubers are testing out FFXIV.
I have old Guildies trying to get me to play FFXIV again because they are sick of blizzard time taking grind for nothing. Unless your Top RAID & MTHIC or PVP player. They never give the normal player a thing unless its some mount that cost gold cap to get.

Blizzard have Forgotten People Have Jobs / Kids / A Life
People to Blizzard now is PLAYERS / CASH COWS
that they farm like gold farmers in game do with gold.

If it was not for my Guild I would have Quit Long Time Ago.
And Now Some of Them Have Quit…

tbc is a completed game. where shadowlands isnt.

I have a pretty good guild on Classic. It does help make the game feel more enjoyable.

I’d be satisfied if I felt they were trying to make a genuine effort to improve the game, rather than improve metrics.

If they acted like they had passion for the game, it’d go a long way. It’s not that people are just mad at the flaws, they feel that the devs are acting in bad faith towards us, the consumer.

They seem to spit on everything we ask for, then tell us “what we really want”, which… isn’t what we want. They also reduce the apparent effort put into each expansion, and that rightfully burns a lot of people. We went from the Timeless Isle and Mac’aree to… Korthia. There’s a very visible change in the amount of effort.

These are not positive things

Then tell me what’s considered positive about the new patch that isn’t the same systems that have been in place since legion.

Didn’t say there was anything good about 9.1 but attunements and unlocking the ability to do heroic dungeons with boring rep grinds are not enjoyable whatsoever.
