World of Warcraft is playing 32GB RAM Computer

16 GB RAM Computer is upgrading 32GB RAM Computer - Let’s playing World of Warcraft

If you have 2x8 gigs adding 2 more for 32gigs is a bad idea and will impede your ram speed. You want 2x 16 gigs

i feel like this thread prompt was fed through an auto translator

what are you asking? or are you just stating?

If you look at the OP’s posting history, every single post is pure gibberish, far beyond the scope of translation errors. I can only assume that this is some sort of Bot.

On my AM4 system, I was able to go from 2x DDR4 16GB to 4x 16GB without having to reduce my memory speed or CAS latency. DDR5 does seem to be less forgiving however.

lmao

glad it’s just not me

DDR5 is a less mature technology than DDR4 was by the time of the late-AM4 builds most people have (think Zen2/Zen3).

So not only are the requirements for DDR5 higher (it takes more to run the memory controller at 3GHz for DDR5, vs 1.6-1.8GHz for high-end DDR4), we are still using an earlier version of the memory controller (1st gen vs 3rd or 4th gen).

not to mention you can have a more mature BIOS at the time with the AM4 mobo vs a newer AM5.
