Is this a new price increase or has this been announced previously?

The Brazil and Russia pricing was increased I believe one or two days ago alongside Argentina’s 500% increase.
500%? Are you sure about that number?
500% increase yikes
Blizzard don’t want smol country to play WOW, they even punish them for not having a valid US credit card.
I assume it was to done to match the proper value of those regions currency. To match with inflation.
Unfortunately many aren’t meeting the payment of the new inflation, due to delays in the system and such. So where a value of an apple should be equal to what it was a year ago, could be like spending $20 for one due to your income not changing yet. It sucks.
What is that in real money? (j/k!) What is that in US?
Wait, Brazil and Russia are smol?
Blizzard does take my non-US (JPY) credit card.
So right now, the current estimate of a single sub cost is around $30 with the new price change, this is just for one month. For now, people on the 6month are currently safe from the changes until the next bill comes in. This is mainly in part due to people’s income not changing with the unstable economy. If this was a perfect world, it would be around $8-10. But right now that isn’t the situation unfortunately. Maybe in a years time it will go back down, but it’s difficult for it to be worth playing for that much.
650 ARS is ~7 USD a month, so still about half of what an American would pay, but Argentina is also a much poorer (more poor?) country than the US.
^^^^ This exactly. It’s a reeaaalll sheiza show.
Argentina’s inflation rate is also out of control:
For comparison, the last time inflation was high in the U.S. was in the late 70’s when it peaked at 13%, and that was considered a national crisis. U.S. inflation rates have been 4% or less for the last 30 years.
Its a lot less in USD however the issue is that its a lot harder for them to earn that amount so its not really just a matter of currency conversion
yeah…they raised the subs here on brazil 6 months ago, no reason to do it now again.
that is $6.53
What is the monthly subscription in Venezuela?
