Imagine they make Kul Tiran pirates playable for the Horde (after all, they’ve already worked with them) and Vulpera pirates from Kul Tiras for the Alliance. Definitely more interesting than just ending up with a pirate transmog or something. And since they’re now releasing a third dwarf recolor, it seems they’re sticking to introducing copy & paste races instead of just making the races neutral from the start.
And here we have the opposite side of the ‘content drought’ argument. Either someone’s unhappy that there’s nothing to do, or someone’s unhappy that there’s too much to do. Someone’s unhappy either way, it’s just going to change the voices depending on which way development goes.
It all depends on how fast ytou can complete the initial 11.0 campaign explore the zones and reach level 80.
Pretty much back to pre WoD flying .
Nobody’s saying “don’t do the new heritage armors”.
Nobody’s saying “don’t do whatever the panda thing is”.
Nobody’s saying “skip the mysterious pirate thing”.
Nobody’s even saying “don’t do fated” (as long as it’s optional, this time).
What people are saying is, “can you please stop rushing out the seasons so fast? barely anybody’s even finished the current one and you’re already talking about rolling out the next.”
I would actually agree with that. New RPG elements are always welcome, but with the seasons, they could take a bit more time. It might also provide more space for other things.
Any thoughts I had about buying Diablo 4 were sealed dead and buried with the rapid seasons they are running.
Just an example of how off put I am about the rapid seasons BS.
Well at least we know the plan is expac release prior to 20th anniversary
all i want and is for blizz to announce wrath era realms, i dont really have much interested in going to cata.
I’m guessing 10.2.6 skull might mean retail hardcore mode?
Who would play that though? It’s basically impossible to die in retail - even clothie classes like Mage and Priest can just gigapull entire zone’s-worths of trash mobs onto themselves and casually AOE them down
On the other hand, in Classic and especially at low levels there is a very real/credible threat of dying if you pull even just 1-2 extra mobs
And if you accidentally pulled an elite by yourself at low level? You’re done most of the time
“We remain committed to delivering content in all flavors of World of Warcraft so no matter how you play, you won’t have to look far ahead to know something is right around the corner for you!”
Except what I want to play is Wrath, so instead “right around the corner” is me losing access to what I want to play. Feels pretty bad!
We had to wait so long for Draenei heritage armor. Now we have to wait even more its not coming out to end of Spring 2024.
Silly you, didn’t you know “everyone” is excited to move into Cata Classic?
Don’t you remember hearing aaaaaallll that “enthusiastic applause” from the crowd at BlizzCon when Cata Classic got announced? /s
Lucky charms as holiday currency , but yeah maybe have the goblin leprechaun spawn in a one Horde city, one Alliance city and rotate the other natural cities that are in Azeroth.
Troll and draenei heritage armor! Let’s go! Ive been calling it these past few weeks. Even started a new troll in anticipation!
Indeed.
I was actually there for the PTR stress test he got unleashed, and Celestalon, glory to his name, gave me +500% size to fight him with.
Players taking part will all have the appearance of Pandaren.
Cata is when I quit last time too…
Some people still think traditional flying is still gated behind renown or reputation when they (blizzard) have changed their ways by accepting the fact locking flying behind renown/reputation is not popular. And so they are locking flying behind max level and campaign and exploring the zones just like in the emerald dream zone. That is the new way of locking flying going forward much easier and less controversial. And to think blizzard is still lying when they are telling more truths than say ever before.
