World of Warcraft in 2024 —The Road Ahead

It would be the first time for content that people do to level up, we are talking about thing like the achievments “waking hope”, 'Ohn’a’roll", “azure Spanner”, and “just don’t ask me to spell it”. I got these without setting foot in a dungeon or raid.

We will see.
Like I said.
I’ll wait to buy it to see how long it takes to get regular flying.
If it’s going to be 6months to a year. I’ll just skip TWW even though delves and a few other things sound fun, being stuck on that damn dragon for a year doesn’t. I’ll just skip it.

I like the road map so I can get preprared for whats to come. but there are so many puzzle pieces missing… just got to wait for the rest of the info to trickle in

If this is your attitude, might as well skip as it could be that long for you just because you wanted , in which case you would have no one to blame but yourself. I told you the plans, I mentioned wat it more or less boils down to (mainly unlocking WQs and the alternant questing paths for alts in DF).

I’m not pre-purchasing it.

I’m waiting for it to release and others to play it so I can see how long it really takes.

That will be the deciding factor for me.

If others are getting it in a couple weeks or less, then I’ll buy.

Have to say I am surprised and impressed by the roadmap and what was delivered this year. That is a lot of effort by a lot of people and thank you for communicating.

I hope this shows a continued trend of working towards improving things.

While the experience has left many opportunities to tweak and improve, it does seem to be going in a good direction.

its when riots mmo releases and wow dies

If they stick to their claims, regular flying is unlocked once we finish the leveling campaign, and hit max level. Those two should happen close to each other… though perhaps not. I don’t remember if they said anything about exploring or not.

Not trying to get you to buy the expansion, just thought I’d share that info.

choosing BFD and gnomeregan as the raids in classic is further proof of how completely detached and terrible wow devs are. they dont deserve the success from the game that gives them a false sense of affirmation

I really do like many of the new things in TWW, I just don’t care for DR at all.

I hope it does work out this way.
I’d hate to miss it.

Can’t wait until Classic Dragonflight…

Fully agree.

When we got the ability to unlock regular flying I ground it out as quick as I could, been finally enjoying Dragonflight…

Might not be so bad, I’m curious how “Classic” Cataclysm is going to go. If they keep the classes like they were and build upon that older style of class mechanics with updated graphics and expanded class/race combo’s it might actually be something tempting for me.

Could we get some graphical modernization? Character models and revamped landscape? Not so Super Mario 64 looking from 25+ years ago?

Looks great, gotta ask though since you are being so secretive, what is 10.2.6? Could Taliesin be right?

Thank you for not listing archaeology as a headline feature of Cataclysm Classic. That would have cut a little too deep.

They are going to release Nomi and watch it all burn

Well, whatever that black flag with the skull on it is, it is very interesting that we don’t have any information on it. I wonder if we will get more information next year and/or access to it on the PTR. Nice well kept secret on Blizz’s end.

If it’s a “the community seemed to be having so much fun speculating about the next expansion being pirate themed that we decided to throw together a quick little event based on your speculation” patch, I will be very impressed.

Just unsub during the fated season if you’re endgame-centric tbh. It’s non-content. I hate pretending an MMO is a seasonal game. I don’t mind patches being soft resets, but literally tossing out the same content “but different” is as lazy as they could possibly be. I would literally rather sit in the good gear I get from the previous season and not have its power made meaningless by a rehash season being tacked on the end. Hated it last time too.

M+ isn’t any better. For the love of god, develop new dungeons for patches. I don’t care if they use existing world areas to save on art resources, but revisiting previous expansion dungeons that are still actively played while leveling is not new content, and going back to old dungeons that were ALREADY part of the M+ system is even worse.
