The same way a mage may dread seeing a marksman hunter deleting his health bar with every button press a zoo spec should feel the same hopeless feeling of watching every pet be evaporated by frozen orb, blizzard and ice lance spam into them or ignite+ living bomb spread.

Your position is its ok for one spec to counter another but pets should be exempt?

Every class in the game does AoE and many specialize in very good cleave damage. They would be hard countered by everyone.
