World of Warcraft Fun Facts!

Thought it’d be fun to share some little fun facts with you all. Be sure to share your own on here as well!

1. There is a secret quest on the Alliance side of the Broken Shore scenario that can be started by finding a Charred Locket. Completing this quest will reward you with a cosmetic Bonnet.
2. All the items you buy from the Silvermoon tailoring shop are made by Leper Gnome slaves. You can see this for yourself by going downstairs in the shop.
3. There are tons of Ghost NPC’s on the Darkmoon Island that can only be seen while you’re dead. All of these NPC’s have their own creepy backstories that revolve around Silas and the Faire.
4. There are some creatures in WoW that have more than one dying animation. Treants, Basilisks, and male Dwarves are some of the few that do.
5. Orcs will say “Thralls Balls!” when you type /whoa as one.
6. You can take your Yak mounts to the Yak Wash in Kun Lai which will make them clean, turning their fur white. This only works on the normal Yak mounts and not the Grand Expedition one.
7. Taking the Sinrunner Blanchy mount to see her own corpse in Westfall will cause her to run away in fear, which will dismount you from her in the process.
8. There are tons of pets that will do neat things if you emote at them. Mr. Chilly and Pengu will do a belly slide if you type /sexy at them. Crackers and Captain Crackers will sit on your shoulder if you type /whistle at them. And any cat pet will sit in your lap if you type /sit at them. These are just a few examples.
9. There is a hidden cave that can be found on the western coast of the outdoors Ahn’qiraj area. Inside this cave lies a sleeping Red Dragon named Andrestrasz. Andrestrasz serves no purpose in the game. He’s just there to chill.
10. Khadgar will pee himself if you click him enough times.

That was just a few that I could remember off the top of my head. I’ll be sure to edit more in if I remember them.

• Female Undead and female Dwarves share the same /roar sound.
• Pandaren are the only race that have sound effects attached to their eat and drink emotes.
• There are some paintings in the game that will do creepy things. Some blink, some watch you, and there’s even one where a man’s face will slowly turn skeletal.
• The White War Talbuk mount has purple horns and hooves because of a visual glitch. When Blizzard fixed the glitch back in the day it saddened many players because they preferred how the glitch made the mount look, so Blizzard reverted the the fix.
• You can take a dump in your Garrison outhouse. It’ll even give you an achievement for doing so!
• If you’re a Warlock and you /flirt with your Succubus pet it will make hearts form above your heads.
• If you’re a Death Knight and you /growl at your Ghoul pet he will cower in fear. You can also /cower at your Ghoul to make him be the one to growl at you.
• Rommath will make dad puns about the Kirin Tor and it’s members if you click him enough times.
• You can find the word “Boss” written in giant letters across the ground outside of the boundaries of the Atal’dazar Dungeon. Similarly you can find the word “Mantis” outside the boundaries of the Gate of the Setting Sun Dungeon.
• Runas was originally planned to be the evil Nightfallen that tried to feed off the Blue Dragons in the Aszuna quest chain.

• If you look closely at the color of the blood that spews out of a Draenei character whenever they get attacked you’ll see that it is blue. This is because Draenei canonically have blue blood.
• There’s a secret achievement that you can get by having a bunch of players repeatedly jump in Mayla Highmountain’s room in Thundertotem.
• If you click Shadowlands Kael’thas enough times he’ll tell you that Magisters Terrace was merely a setback.

Nice list! I want to add that the original Ironforge from WoW’s Alpha (Version 0.5) was super huge and had an entire extra layer! Also, the Great Forge was visible.

There is a hidden cave that can be found on the western coast of the outdoors Ahn’qiraj area. Inside this cave lies a sleeping Red Dragon named Andrestrasz. Andrestrasz serves no purpose in the game. He’s just there to chill.

Nah, he actually gives you the Bengal Tiger mount. My uncle who works at Nintendo told me so.

Nice list! I want to add that the original Ironforge from WoW’s Alpha (Version 0.5) was super huge and had an entire extra layer! Also, the Great Forge was visible.

I remember seeing this video a long time ago. Alpha Ironforge was really cool looking. A shame they nerfed it before the game went live. I always did prefer Ironforge over Stormwind.

If you’re an outlaw rogue and have the Green Wing Macaw pet out in Deadmines there’s a hidden quest right after you blow the doors open leading to the giant Defias ship. You take a left immediately and a button will appear to hookshot up to a hidden room with the quest in it.

Demon Hunters can both bypass the first boss in Neltharion’s Lair and escape the “playable” map entirely simply by jumping. You’d think everything Legion and onward would be designed a lot more carefully with the kind of mobility they have.

I’ve gotta try this. I love escaping the boundaries of instances to see what lies beyond.
