I know that Overwatch gets collab events from time to time. So why can’t the same be done for World of Warcraft? Is it because most collabs wouldn’t fit the fantasy theme? Surely there’s some fantasy esque franchises that would love to collab with Blizzard

Personally I prefer that things added to the world be actually building the lore and history of the world, not be throwaway dreams.
I’d be interested to know, but I’ve never seen a survey (with a shred of credibility) on that subject that’s current. Subsequently humans in general have a tendency towards confirmation bias to some extent (thinking everyone else must be similar to us in age, prefers the thing we prefer, that generally our view is the majority view).
It’s fascinating that some psych majors do actually write thesis papers on us!

Actually, I’ve changed my mind. I want a World or Warcraft x WoW: Classic collab. Everything we earn in Classic should carry over into Retail. So if I go do the Benediction/Anathema Priest quest in Classic, I should get the appearances in Retail.
