World of Warcraft and the LGBTQ Community Member's Experience

How is it the fault of activists that Blizzard Entertainment apparently does not allow people to type the full word on the WoW forums? Also you can still say “transgender”

I’m talking about activists in general and activists in Activision who moderate these forums and ban people because they personally don’t like certain opinions.

Is is these activists who are actually turning people “phobic” towards the groups they claim to “protect”.

Man I haven’t seen a “nerf Rogues” thread in so long lol. Stunlock QQ used to be epic.

Exactly. Anytime there’s a qualifying statement at the beginning, it’s absolutely a troll thread. Leave out the qualifying statement next time and this would have been Gr8 B8

My experience is secondhand embarrassment at this point because of how often these annoying threads pop up.

I’m literally LGBT and just exhausted.

which would be with discord not wow. Like I said with Blizz it really shouldn’t matter or need to be discussed

Thats my point. They shouldn’t be treated differently in any way. No one should ever be outcast or treated differently due to race or sexual orientation. This also means no special treatment either. No one is special. We are all humans and all the same. You can call it whatever you want but that is the reality weather people want to except it or not.

So companies standpoints should be “we are all the same” not isolating folks into a “LGBTQ community”. Instead it should focus on inclusion so not even for one moment does anyone feel “unexcepted”.

You cant expect to be treated equally if you keep isolating your self into a separate group even if you yourself created said group/community. There needs to be just one group. The group of Human Beings. If you see yourself as being differant others will too. The reality is you are not. Regardless of race or sexual orientation we are all human beings and we are all the same.

The only thing I can say about this would be forums are the only place I see the LGBTQ community talked about in detail. I mean when I am running wow content with other players I don’t care about their religion, sexual preference, race, or political views. What I do care about is if they can hold aggro if tanking, heal through big pulls, or DPS high enough to take things down faster. I think it is sad to bring real-life issues into an online
fantasy world. I am sorry if I have offended anyone it was not my intention.

Talk about dishonesty.
Talking to yourself doesn’t make your iq look very good.

My lease favorite month…

Strange you made a thread complaining about a “certain” group complaining about being discriminated against in the game, here… Something tells me you’re trolling here too.

I guess since I am a bi female I am part of this group even though I hate groups like this because it always ends up being used by business, and the message gets water down.

I don’t really care that my video games have Bi, gay, or whatever in said game. I also don’t care if other americans accept me or not, because the way the world is right now. I don’t really care about them also.

Two issues I have. One, Wow story is a joke, and LGTBQ stories in video games have not been very good. So why the heck would I want it in wow?

Second, I don’t like a business using sexuality for good business because Blizzard will brag about it for sales.

LGTBQ+ is not that big of a deal, so I don’t want business to milk it.

It’s been super weird.

Mostly I feel like the alliance has an lgbt community and the horde kind of doesn’t. Which is kind of a shame because I prefer horde characters and lore. I have to bring friends into wow if I want to play with queer friends.

I can find lgbt positive horde guilds but usually they are pre-established little groups that aren’t super interested in building a community. So, it’s been kind of hard to find people to play with for content larger than five mans.

Least with cross faction communities now, you can find an ally community to join in with on your horde. I’m sure there are horde communities but just very small or they keep to themselves.

Mods please do your job. This is spam
