I’m mocking your choice to tell someone on the internet to calm down since it’s generally a stupid pointless thing to do since you have no idea how calm anyone is or isn’t.
really? I thought you actually sounded quite upset, so let’s see here…
here’s you trying to bypass profanity filter. you didn’t just censor that word for no reason. normally someone who is calm doesn’t try doing things like this, but ok, let’s keep reading.
ah, now we’re name calling. also something a person who is calm usually doesn’t do. it actually makes you sound quite the opposite of calm.
these sound like the words of someone who is very much not calm. they sound like the words of someone who is very upset. thus, it is reasonable to assume the person who typed them share the emotion their words imply.
in simpler terms, you sound upset, so chances are, you probably are upset.
If you went to a Steak House as a Vegan, didn’t like that they served meat, started throwing food around abusing the staff demand they serve you vegetables, and staff decided to joke and say that you should graze on the grass they feed their cows instead.
Yeah. I’d accept it. I might even choose to accept that it is a steakhouse and I am a vegan, and so I should not be there.
Going to a burger joint and being told that there’s a huge celebration coming up with both meat and vege options, only to arrive and find out it’s a vegan only event.
Yes, people who were led to believe there would be meat would be rightfully upset.
Then, what these patch notes are, would be the company putting out a “I hope you all enjoyed our vegan options and if you didn’t, there’s a nearby farm where you can go and bite the cows to get your fill.”
Stop defending Blizzard mocking and being rude to their players.
If the celebration was a vegan event, then sure. Thing is, you went in blind but want to pretend it should be both options. Obviously developers agree, hence the post.
Thing is, they told us, specifically, it was “made for everyone to enjoy.”
They have the data that tells them the vast majority of players opt out of PvP. Which makes “made for everyone to enjoy” a lie.
To mock the feedback that it was disrespectful and take a pot shot at those players is unacceptable by an employee without repercussions from the company.
Actually, based on an interview with lead producer Ray Bartos:
They’re deliberately designed to allow casual PvPers to enjoy the combat, said Ray Bartos, lead producer.
Lead Software Engineer also said this.
“Even if you’re not the one to directly attack other players, you can go around killing monsters, opening chests and still collect Plunder along the way,”
There’s no such thing as something everyone enjoys. That’s a false premise. They made it so everyone can progress. But as a PVE player you will lose. You will die, eventually. Whether you can find enjoyment out of that is up to you, and you clearly don’t.
Doesn’t mean it has to change. It means you don’t prefer it.
Your moral outrage is misplaced and orders of magnitude out of proportion. I’m frankly surprised you haven’t already taken steps to vote with your wallet.
Quoting interviews after the release is not applicable.
The “made for everyone” quotes are from before the release. They led PvErs to believe for two months that it was an event they would enjoy as well.
Holly pretty much had to apologize last week because of it and promise us PvE stuff is on the way.
The person who wrote these jokes went out of their way to take a shot at the PvErs after Holly “apologized.”
The fact you don’t understand why that isn’t okay is not my fault. They are the ones who stirred the pot again, not us.
And if these “jokes” were written before Holly’s address, then the employee who wrote it should have had the foresight to remove the Plunderstorm comments from it.
And considering the plunderstorm “joke” claims:
which is just untrue, because a mount they added this year has a 1% drop rate, and 6 pieces of transmog have a 5-10% drop rate.
And yet, the “joke” says “All the rewards” are just “laying on the ground.”
That, is not an apology. There is no promise to “fix”, or rectify anything. Its ridiculous you see it as such. It is a recognition of the same reality I mentioned, there is no mode that everyone enjoys. Given the majority of complaints come from PVE players, guess which group you think she’s referring to that should not expect to be pleased by Plunderstorm?
Or maybe as a company they have a coherent view that you simply refuse to contend with.
Bet you won’t. You just can’t handle disagreements. How about those quotes you supposedly have? Any source?
