Dunno about the rest of you guys, but I just am not interested in this. Staff isn’t the right design, cloak isn’t the correct shape, and the hood looks more like something a Druid of the Talon would wear.
Oh and all of them are the wrong color scheme for Medivh.
I mean the staff is a good start, and I have respect for whomever modeled this. But at the same time, one should at least make sure that the position the raven model in the correct poise and make the hood / cloak / gems are the correct colors if your going to ask cash for something like this.
Is this what the Medivas wear in Karazhan or something during performances or is this what the Wanton Hostesses wear during private RP sessions? Just morbidly curious… because this don’t look much like a set Medivh or the Guardian at all wears. Druid of the Talon? Sure.
Medivh? Not so much.
I know a lot of retcons have happened, but Ati’esh is still a thing. Perhaps if Blizzard offered a high res version of that comparable to the Staff of Gul’dan, and perhaps a cloak / hood more alike to the Warcraft 3 Prophet we’d be talking about something that justifies the price.
Doesn’t matter to me. If it has both cash and an in-game means to acquire the item, I welcome them presenting new things to acquire. Anything that is cash option only is the problem. I’m just glad they’re trying something new.
What matters to me mainly is calling something what it is. The items are represented as Medivh’s stuff, but not even the color is right. Just saying if your going to offer something as being tied to a specific lore character, at least meet the expectation.
But… Atiesh is already in the game. .-. Why make another one that’s the exact same?
The staff looks cool, and I’m not trying to rp as Medivh anyway.
It is not in the game and has been in it or obtainable for close to 14.
That is close to the amount of time it takes to raise a child. I think it’s time for a proper rework of it and a high res version of it. Especially if your going to market a set as “The Guardian’s Set”. I have 0 cares or sympathy for someone so jaded that they would fight such a thing, because of something they did close to 13 years ago in a video game.
…Huh. When I put it that way, the people who try to defend “legacy achievements” looks, appear even more pathetic than I thought they would. So someone got lucky when they were a kid and now the equivalent of their beloved High School Varsity Letter… that does not exist, Save in a video game. Or something. … Heh.
Edit:
Small heads up. I did not see that there was an official thread on this now. Moving my posts over there. Continue the discussion there instead of here. Thanks guys.
