And just like that we are back to it. No use for the actual game world except to get between instances. No sense of competition between horde and alliance, no need to even interact with the opposing faction, just fight strangers from strange servers in pre-packaged checkerboards.

I really don’t understand the anger against Battlegrounds?
World PvP will still happen despite battle grounds.
Heck, many might world pvp while waiting in queue for battle grounds.
It also makes PvP easier for those on imbalanced servers.

I mean, we all knew that practice was coming back. I don’t see what the big deal is. People have been setting up their twinks for BGs since day 1 almost.

It gives people a way to PvP like they want to, without getting swarmed.
World PvP will still happen. I’ts a pvp server. gankers and people fighting in SS/TM still happened for entire expansions after battle grounds were introduced.

Regardless, the popularity of BGs doesn’t mean they should be pushed out only 2 weeks after the honor system is released.
I’m pissed, im royally pissed
and when the twinks show up and owning poorly gear players, those same players whining about the Wpvp issue will come on these boards and post the same whining posts threatening to quit like they always do.
People who complain about pvp in any form are not pvp players. They are carebears and should have no voice in dictating the flow of contents.

My point is that for there to be any sense of the realm you are in being dynamic or interesting is that you should feel like you are at war with the opposing faction. Queuing for BGs that don’t even pit you against that faction on your own realm does not foster that at all
No, but the massive problems with faction balance people are experiencing right now certainly does mean they should push out bg’s three weeks after the honor system is released.
It’s a band-aid sure, but a realm that is horribly unbalanced is still going to have ganking issues. As everyone who is so excited about BGs keeps pointing out: “wPvP will still exist”
