Hello, was hoping to bring attention to this as well as maybe get clarity from a blizzard employee on why this might be happening. Since pre-patch my world MS has increased from 40 to 70 while home ms stayed consistent. It seems to be acting as if my west coast connection is now on an east coast realm. Was wondering what the cause for this was and if there are any plans to fix it. I am assuming it has something to do with the warband combining of accounts or cross realm guilds becoming a thing. I live in the pacific northwest, so I chose to play on Tichondrious for the better connection as it is a west coast realm.
I don’t believe I am the only one affected by this change, so if others are having the same experience please chime in!
I understand it isn’t a huge deal but I do feel the difference in performance and would really like it to be reverted or if I need to transfer to a different realm to at least be notified of it.
Hope everyone is excited for War Within and happy adventuring. - Evook
There’s numerous players experiencing this same problem. It’s stable when you’re outside but once you step in an instance the world MS spikes like a MF.
Unfortunately, the only replies i’ve gotten from “MVPs” is that Blizzard doesn’t consider this a major issue, and no longer offer troubleshooting… So from what I get is that they’re not looking to fix it up, which is a shame, cause the game is unplayable.
I wish that someone from blizzard would address this. It’s been happening since the prepatch. I literally can’t play the game and it’s very frustrating…
That is unfortunate about the network tests/general trouble shooting. I tried their steps on the trouble shooting post thinking it may be my internet/ISP such as restarting my router and flushing my dns. But as I explained because of my home ms staying the same I believe it is something on their end and just wanted clarity. Frustrating how difficult it is to get into contact with a real support person now, but I understand that they can’t respond to every issue/ticket/post, especially close to patch days
I’m fearing that this is the new normal. They’ve yet to address this, i think they’re going to turn a blind eye. It doesn’t seem to be more than 50% of the player base so I don’t think they’re gonna waste resources and time to fix this. It’s a shame. 16 years playing this game just to have it all thrown away because they didn’t care :/.
my entire guild is reporting this as an issue. there are times this week when we’ve been doing heroic or mythic raid and we just get an INSTANCE-DESTROYING level of lag. and when we all check, it’s our World MS that has spiked to 2,000+ and sometimes even 4,000+
To hear others in this thread say Blizzard won’t do anything about it makes me sad. I guess RIP game. Zero comment from Blizz on this, so I agree, they probably don’t care and will never fix it. Typical Blizz tbh
It’s very typical. I’m only saying that they’re not gonna do anything about it because they still haven’t done anything. It’s been two maintenaces (tues/wed) and nothing’s changed.
It’s unplayable, and yeah, RIP game if they don’t fix it. What a damn shame.
