[Proving Yourself: Endless Healer (Wave 30)]
World First endless healing wave 30+ on a PROTECTION WARRIOR!

Tens of thousands of [Deep Sea Bandage] were use in the creation of this achievement. 15,000+ bandages were used (after I started counting). Bandages were consumed at a rate of 4 bandages per minute (4 bpm). The majority of these bandages were bought and used while progressing on wave 29.

The final score & current world record for the endless healing proving grounds on protection warrior is 3345 (33 waves completed).

Supposedly anyone that gets “SILVER” ranked proving grounds or higher can queue that role in dungeons.

What about:

  • Proving yourself: Gold?
  • Proving yourself: Endless 10+?
  • Proving yourself: Endless 20+?
  • Proving yourself: Endless 30+?

I keep getting all these achievements and its not letting me queue for heals on my warrior. “It must be a bug… I may submit a ticket…”

If you think otherwise… Just try it yourself!

These achievements are no joke if you go in on a “class” not suited for the “role”. If you lack taunts, threat generation, raw damage, nuke damage, team heals, team dispells… it becomes drastically harder for each one your missing. Very few if any can do it lacking more then 1 of these.

Give it a try on a “class” that’s not suited for the “role”. If you manage to get it, GRATS! Cause you have earned it. It will probably be one of the hardest things you’ve ever attempted in the game guaranteed.

Best of luck to you all out there on your adventures in Azeroth and see you in the Shadowlands!

Thank you very much for reading this and have a wonderful day.

I tried doing this once by using Concentrated Flame Major. Bandages were a good idea, I wanna try doing something like that.

But imagine using 15000 bandages on a lol. Seems like a waste of gold/resources

Edit: LOL Just realized you bragged about yourself and made a Wowhead new post on the forums. That’s pretty funny. You just made my day!

Edit 2: Can you show me how to do this? I wanna queue for a Mythic Raid as a Warrior Healer and have people whispering me that I’m insane =]

Edit 3: (Sorry for so many) but at a rate of 4 bandages per minute, that’s about 62 hours of nonstop gameplay. Is that a typo or are you truly one without a life?

I’ll just wear the title on my warrior and say I did it on it :smirk:

This post feels like an OSRS post and I like that. Kudos, OP.

That’s impressive, honestly.

And appropriately puts the “aids” in “band-aids.”

I suggest you try it today because once prepatch hit it will get drastically harder. Losing all corruptions, essences, and azerite bonuses.

Mechagon 2 set healing rings. (manditory)
if… Heal target (highest ilvl you can get)
if… Use 3 different abilities (any item level)

Recommended Healing Trinkets
415+ [Mirror of Entwined Fate] – BFA Mythic Raid : BOD
465+ [Revitalizing Voodoo Totem] – BFA Mythic+ : AD

  • With just voodoo totem + crucible of flame you can easily clear up to gold rank and endless 9 if you casually use bandages.

  • With both trinkets and flame you can probably clear up to endless 9-19 casually using bandages.

  • To clear anything effectively past wave up to 20 or up to 30 you WILL need both trinkets + crucible + bandages popping them like candy (especially to get safely through waves 19 & 29. during the end of wave 18 & 28 everything must be off cooldown, with 2 charges of flames and all trinkets ready, these are 100% mandatory to clear wave 29 successfully+ you have near perfect interrupt timing, and stun/fear cycling.)

…and ya at least 62+ hours of proving grounds probably more.
40 hours of proving grounds over the last few months.
Till I theory crafted the optimum load out I needed.
From there it was another 12 hours last wednesday.
Followed by another 12 hours this morning.

The last 6 hours of it I was doing absolute crazyness and random builds. I managed to clear through wave 28 near perfectly using only 1 crucible proc early on and first aid only after that with 3 ring procs. I entered wave 29 with everything up. On wave 29 I had perfect RNG spacing on friendly units after the first splash knock back. Nothing was double stacked and nothing had double debuffs. Popped my voodoo early on the tank. followed by a spot heal with the second trinket on the tank the instant it came off CD, spammed intervines on tank, spam taunted everything that lost agro, had to leap once to get taunt reset agro, landed 3 interupts 2 storm bolts and 2 shockwaves and 1 fear, and 1 warstomp. landed every possible interupt including instcast back to back fear+warstoms into pummel, still ridiculously hard as hell as every party member had less then 10% the rogue had 532 hp at one point when rallying cry ended I about crapped myself when I had to cycle 2 stuns into a pummel to kill the aoe caster, and prayed that he wasnt targeted by a dispell cast. Abilities were casting and going off left and right as heals came off less then 1 GCD within fractions of seconds and between enemy casts. Was crazy freaking hard until the main caster died. Alls I did was focus on interupting every cast as it was 35% raid health per cast it went off, and if it was followed by a large dispell exploding it would 1 shot dps. I only made it through wave 29 once… everything I had nearly had zero HP, when the last unit died. I threw a heal on the tank (35% health and on the hunter 50% health, with first aid on the mage at 40% health entering the last phase.) the rogue still had 1-10% health in the first 10 seconds of the last phase. Until I could heal him. When I entered wave 30 I just made it count. Kept agro and spot healed like crazy using every ability I had (except berserker’s rage because nothing feared, I did use it a few times to proc rings out of combat though…), managed to top everyone off above 25% by the end of wave 30 and it was GG! would have gotten further if I wasn’t exploding my guild chat. with OMFG!!! I DID IT!!! made it to wave 33.45.

Picture the difficulty of this being that of a mythic end tier raid boss as a 31+ minute mythic boss encounter, where it gets ridiculously difficult on every 9th wave, and must have perfect execution with every cast prior to that. 1 miss timed ability skill after wave 4 will cause a wipe on the 9th wave every time, any bad RNG will also cause a wipe. You get zero down time, as you constantly interweave ring procs and first aid casting during down time. Casting any and every random ability to proc the ring out of combat, Casting intervene & crucible to keep stacks of conflict and strive at 8+. That small 10 second breather every 10th wave long isn’t long as you can barely get 1 ring proc and maybe 1-2 first aid casts off freely. The only time you kind of get a chance to breath is if you clear a wave with 30 seconds left in a minute by chain proc’ing 5 Twilight-dev’s in a row. Which may happen once every 3 hours. And even then the it normally happens on an EZ wave. Perfect gear optimization, Optimum corruptions, Lots of RNG Luck, Lots of precision, Lots of consumables, Lots of Runes, Lots of Flasks, Lots of Food Buffs, Lots of Scrolls, and thousands of bandages.

So good luck.

(Oh I dropped a katy stamp whistle mail box to get more bandages around wave 5 “you need 120 bandages minimum per full attempt pending where you wipe”. I also had to repair mid run a few times requiring a blacksmithing khazgorian crafting hammer to repair my shield mid as it loses 25+ durability per full attempt.)

Thanks! I have most of this and just want to clear up to silver for bragging rights and apparently the ability to queue as a healer. Hopefully I’m able to do it!

every youtuber thumbnail

They did it the mad lads

That’s incredibly impressive, wear your healer title with pride OP.

I’m assuming that was over the course of all attempts, not in one go.

I didn’t think about that, but it makes a lot of sense. Chances are he didn’t sit in front of his comp for 62 hours spamming bandages =]

I added that information in an edit scroll up.

Holy crap, good job man. That is impressive.

Thanks all I finally put “the Insane” title to use

I lost the level 90 version of this achievement (not on a Warrior ofc). Just poofed one day. Ticketed it multiple times, CS unable to fix. So that’s cool. Tangent, sorry. Still peeved by it.

“The Insane” title used to take months of grinding back in the day, but this, this is really impressive. You have officially deserved the title, good sir!

that’s 62.5 hours, is this right?

The absolute madman!

That story is going to give me nightmares O.o!!!

on a lighter note…

Going with that tangent… you could probably clear the tanking bronze and silver on your warlock as a consolation.

Congrats!

Wow.

I think healing was the only one I couldn’t even get bronze on in an off spec, during draenor. I may go back and attempt silver as a feral or guardian now.

Many thanks.

Added this above if anyone wants a play by play of the “hard wave”.
