Strap in boys, we got ourselves a real Battle for Azeroth!
Um no Limit is going back to horde in a couple days and um no limit isn’t on Method’s level aka the despite move
You got a source on that? Pretty sure they went Alliance because they plan on doing the 400 ilvl item quest again. I doubt they would have gone Alliance and gone back to Horde for just one item alone, Method are not doing the same because they won’t get that quest again, apparently, so it’s not worth it to them. That’s what Method Josh just said on his stream.
They are going to switch back right after reset next week.
Their GM already said it on twitch
Well damn, them being Alliance would have made the world first race way more interesting.
Eh they really have no shot that’s why they are doing what their doing
It’s funny though, blizzard made money on the transfers, of course, but I wonder how many subscriptions there losing overall, I know I’m not gonna give them another cent, and my sub stops in 12 days. they’ve got to be losing a ton of people over this.
See, the gear handicap doesn’t make people want to actually play Alliance. Just take a short term vacation to reap an immediate reward.
Hence why I asked shouldn’t people want something else done to entice people? But I was shouted down.
I wouldn’t say no shot. They had a very good shot at winning the Uldir race.
The problem is, what else would entice high end guilds to switch factions, but also wouldn’t be so overpowered that it just caused another faction imbalance in the other direction? I think that’s why Blizzard is hesitant to do something stronger and are just taking these small baby steps into trying to undo the imbalance. We’ll see if it works, but if it doesn’t, I think you will see bigger steps than this that will cause more permanent change.
you can’t be serious
Well they get a day heads start and can watch Method streams only reason it seemed closed imo
The object shouldnt be to entice world first racing guilds to change factions.
It should be to entice the rank and file to change factions.
One of the major reasons high end guilds stay Horde right now is that there is generally a deeper player pool to pick from. It not racials. Its not a gear dropping benefit.
I think the racials of dark iron and kul tiras are a good start. Don’t care what anyone says. Kul Tiras Racials > Zandy for at least m+. Won’t even be close. And the great druid forms of Kul Tiras is a plus too.
Next I would give limited time free faction changes Horde -> Alliance only. Maybe even throw in the timing to be around new race unlock. And I say limited time for the exact manipulative reason people hate “limited time”. Get people to spontaneously commit to changing to Alliance, because they don’t know when the next “free faction change” will be. Allow people to change as many alts as they want. Allow entire guilds to switch. Just make this easy/free for the rank and file raider.
After the general raiding population builds up, you will see more higher end guilds build up…and stay on Alliance.
In my humble opinion at least.
That is the complete opposite of how it works. Wherever high end raid guilds go, the guilds below them follow, and the guilds below them follow, and so on. Casual players won’t go anywhere unless the people above them move, too. That’s how we ended up with this faction imbalance to begin with, years and years of overpowered Horde racials that Blizzard left unchecked, until every single high end guild moved to Horde just because that’s where the biggest pool of potential recruits was.
Yet its been stated over and over and over and over and over and over and over that high end guilds stay Horde, even though the racials are for the most part even, because the Horde side has a stronger raiding community and more people to pull from to fill their ranks.
they’ve got to be losing a ton of people over this.
you can’t be serious
you honestly don’t think people are quitting over this, or this being the last straw? I really did, didn’t even bother to try the new raid. I mean, maybe people aren’t but I would think there’s quite a few that probably are.
Such a waste of gold currency to do this, I wonder if they would of still did that if there was no token system and they had to spend cash. Regardless it’s just dumb. not even sure what else to describe it as
Because so many high end raid guilds swapped to Horde for the better racials, bringing good players with them. Those people stayed Horde, and then other guilds moved Horde to try to recruit those players, and other people followed them to try to join those guilds, and so on. You don’t get people to switch factions unless the big wigs have already swapped, too. And the only way to get the big wigs to switch is either making Alliance racials overpowered and causing the same problem in the other direction, or putting in little incentives in baby steps like the war mode bonus and the 400 ilvl item quest.
No it wouldn’t, nothing is going to make this interesting. Why do you care anyways?
